Woahh, look at all those Stars

The art style is sliiightly inconsistent in places bc some of it was drawn months ago and some of it is new, but I feel like it still works. Anyways, I have revamped Star, my VLDsona! AKA Noah Asterson (but no-one really calls him that)

I've decided his design from 2019 (below) is how Star looked as a cadet, before he sorta settled into his identity as a transmasc guy and let loose more with his style. I also redesigned his armour so it wasn't just a recolour of the paladin armour.

I like the idea of the Galaxy Garrison having a sort of buddy system between first-years and older cadets, and Star being Hunk's buddy/mentor. When he graduated, Star became a scientist working under Colleen Holt in the botanical research division. After Voltron, he goes on to help develop Earth's first extraterrestrial taxonomic system (cuz I think classifying all the new lifeforms Earth suddenly knows about would be complicated as hell but very cool)

Repeatedly and quickly drawing a bowstring requires strength that Star Does Not Have so his bow has some kind of mechanism that assists him with that! Also I like to think his arrows explode. That just seems fun.

He can sometimes be found in the kitchens far too late in the evenings, in his pyjamas, making himself some tea.

As if "swallowed by the earth" is a way to describe someone who's gone missing without a trace, particularly in the woods, but in Ditovo it may be more than just a saying. At least if you believe the many legends and folktales about giant plumsaina, or as they're more commonly known "earth belly". The plant does exist but usually it is only big enough to catch small vertebrates, which it does when prey step onto its camouflaged trap door and fall into the pit of the plant filled with digestive liquid and downward pointing spikes preventing escape. The roots of the plant are for storing nutrients and other substances, as well as firmly anchoring the plant in the ground when prey is thrashing about inside it. In order to reproduce the earth belly sprouts a red flower above the surface, a red flag that may perhaps save the life of one who recognizes it.

Noavana is my chaotic fire-type extrovert who somehow manages to befriend everyone, loves gardening and everything creative, dislikes hunting including of the bug variety, and is doing his best to get his partners to sleep more (Reth and Jel's sleep schedules are in absolute shambles). He calls Ashura 'dad' as a joke but not really, and his besties are Tish and...Caleri, unexpectedly. They hang out in the restricted section and read illegal books together.

Enjoy some non-canon Danashi as cadets from wayy back in April 2019 'cause I've been thinking about doing some song art and remembered making this one! This song isn't even the most Danashi Hozier song and I don't remember why I chose it but here we are lol.
