How did Vander wake up at the end of act 3, even tho every evolved being was shown to be deactivated when Jayce and Viktor vanished into the Spinoff Dimension?
Genuinely can anyone come up with a reason besides "he's just built like that silly!"

Okay, so I'm confused about the alternate reality Silco and Vander. Did they show them being a couple in that reality or just very close? Now yes I watched the scene I know it looked hella gay, but that could also just be because those are two SEXY mfs standing close together.
Like whenever Jayce says Viktor and him are brothers it's like "yeah, okay buddy. Was that decided before or after he used your dick as a walking stick?" But when Silco and Vander say they're brothers it feels a lot more real. Kinda like how Megatron and Orion Pax were, falling out included. Maybe I'm silly and they are incredibly gay for each other, plz let me know.

THIS ONE'S POSITIVE PLZ HEAR ME OUT
Okay so I've been very negative about Arcane season 2, and I will continue to be! HOWEVER, there's a lot of good this season does that I haven't discussed that needs to be.
The Arcane soundtrack, is the single best soundtrack I've heard in any TV show. Or movie. Period. The immaculate care everyone involved took in making sure each song fits the scenes and characters they're paired with, along with the diverse range of artists they worked with, is nothing short of genius. Truly admirable work was done for the soundtrack to be this good.
This is the official playlist for the season 2 soundtrack on Riot's channel, so if you haven't individually listened to each song, please do so.

Desperately trying to get the words out in order to articulate why I really don't like what they did with Arcane season 2 but, I just keep wanting to say "not good." Like at one point I audibly yelled; "WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?" but not in an amazed way, in a really fucking annoyed way. May break it up into multiple posts because this is taking longer to process than the other acts.
So... I guess the most encompassing problem is the scope just became WAY too big. The first season, despite having Lean that can turn you into a giant purple monster and magic-powered weapons, was very grounded in its #1 plot #2 locations and #3 characters. Let's discuss what season 2 did with each of these categories.
"The" plot. There's too many of them at this point, barely related to each other, and not enough fucks to go around for each one. The main plot however, would I guess be Viktor and the Glorious Evolutions™.
Firstly the floating in space shots to represent his conciseness connected to everyone's and how he's so ascended looks stupid and boring. Just straight up, they're silly to look at. Secondly the concept that he's now using some unknowable cosmic power to make all life a hive mind that will infect and destroy the planet along with turn everyone into the coolest looking mannequin is just so... WHY?! Like if I told you that's the s2 a3 climax 3 years ago you'd spit in my face (would not wipe it towards my mouth like Caitlyn tho that absolute horndog). The show was a political dispute between an oppressed city who wanted independence from a really wealthy and powerful city. Now it's for the sake of not only the world but like, EVERY REALITY NOW?!
Gonna try to make the other 2 points quicker but fuck there's so much going on.
Locations. Season 1 had Zaun, Piltover, and essentially just mentions of Noxus. Season 2 we have MULTIPLE DIMENSIONS MOTHERFUCKERS WOOOOOOOOO! Look I'm sorry if these points are articulated a lot worse than my prior essays but I'm running out of ways to say it's dumb because it's stupid lol. Within 7 episodes after the (probable) start of a civil war between 2 cities... There's now an infinite number of realities. Just the most insane stake raising they could've done, with a season not even 10 episodes long.
Too many characters for this post so again I'll focus on Viktor since he's now the main antagonist and, protagonist? Him being the wizard that saves Jayce, along with EVERY Jayce in EVERY reality, is simply something that did not need part of the budget put towards it. Genuinely just, the wizard did not need fleshing out. The multiverse in a contained 2 season show did not need to be this crucial last second. This is like if Optimus Prime showed up in season 3 of Avatar, it's just so pointless and diminishing of the story that came before.
So yeah needless to say, I thought this season was terrible. But hey, I'll probably buy the steelbook anyway.
Thank you for reading.

Fuck it I'm not done talk about the Jinx and Vi's mom thing. Don't worry I still think it's stupid I just didn't look at how it affects Silco. Recently I read a post saying this explains why Silco would never give Jinx to Piltover but... No, it doesn't. Like at all.
Silco's interactions with the kids in season 1 act 1 (without season 2 context) consisted of him trying to willingly give the kids to the enforcers, drawing Vander out while making the enforcers his bitch in one move. Later when the kids try to rescue Vander, he has his henchman try to kill them, simply because they now pose a physical threat in his revolution.
This might break it down better. When Silco interacts with Benzo, he talks like old friends. When he interacts with Vander, they speak as though part of them still loves each other as brothers. He does not actually have conversations with the kids, BECAUSE HE DOES NOT FUCKING KNOW THEM.
Season 1 was CLEARLY written with the kids being from an unknown family as fact. Yes, Silco was willing to kill Benzo and Vander, but the children of his dead friends? Without ANY mention of how fucked that is? No... Just no.
There's SEVERAL lines that prove this. One where he says to Powder "Hello, little girl. Where's your sister?" Since, y'know, he doesn't know their names. There's another big one where he says to Vi "I've regretted that we never had the opportunity to speak." Do I even... Do I even need to explain? He follows this with "Candidly, I thought you were the prize of your secondhand family." Secondhand family is a crazy line to drop btw. But he learns this in the season 1 act 1 fight. You can see the realization that Vi's cold with it by his facial expressions. You can rewatch the scene. The point is he did not know easy information he should've, since the show wants us to believe he was friends with their parents and knew who they were.
The more I consider season 2, the more it feels like season 1 slander.
Thank you for reading.

So I'm just coming in with all the terrible takes today. The reveal that Vander was friends with Jinx and Vi's parents kinda weakens the impact of his decision to stop fighting. Let's take a look at the first scene of the show.
When the smoke clears, Vander is covered in blood still fighting, only to see two scared children. They're not only scared of the fucking war happening around them but of him. Then, the kids recognize their parents, dead under the rubble. Vanders reaction is delayed, and different. He realizes that yes, these are their parents, but that his actions, his revolution, orphaned two kids. Then it clicks for him that if he keeps going down that bridge there will be a hundred more, with him and his dream of Zaun being to blame. So he throws down the mining gauntlets, and carries the kids back to the undercity, feeling responsible for their safety after costing them their parents.
Having it turn out that he was actually besties with their mom who was most likely also fighting with Vander in the conflict, who is also like an uncle to them already, changes things.
The moment changes to "my friend was killed in our revolution and now I'm all her kids have left, war is lame." from "Two people just living in the undercity, were caught in the crossfire of my revolution, and now their children have no family. That entire family and many more were indirectly affected by my actions. War fucking sucks."
Yes it's still readable from the second perspective to a degree, but it becomes heavily overshadowed by the fact that they were friends. What if they weren't? Would Vander have just brushed it off? When Vander is calming the Lanes down in one scene and says "I'd do the same for any one of you." Was he telling the truth? With the first version it's believable, but now, he ended a revolution for his dead friends kids, but would he protect a stranger like that?
These are questions I don't wanna ask about the most noble kind guy in the show, but now that's what season 2 is providing me with. This was way longer than I meant for it to be, oh well.
Thanks for reading.

This may be slightly insane to say, however, did anyone else think season 2 is kinda mid so far? Like slightly act 1 but predominantly act 2.
The most all encompassing issue being it's moving too damn fast. Shows having under 10 episodes is hella annoying generally but season 1 felt nowhere near rushed. So many elements feel thrown in that will either get no explanation, we didn't even ask about, or will have an incredibly quick conclusion in act 3.
The entirety of the Ambessa and Mel storyline feels like it both came to a crawl, while also going in the most crazy direction. With the introduction of REAL WITCHES, Mel being part witch (?), and Ambessa just generally being fucking annoying. Like her daughters been kidnapped (once again by fucking witches) and yet she's just bounced to manipulating Caitlyn instead, fighting her goofy ahh war with Zaun, and trying to develop a technology that is essentially impossible to do without the inventors, who are missing from her perspective. When she could be... Looking for her daughter that's like her #1 priority?
The new characters are dummy uncooked. There's the fish enforcer, WHO WAS NOT EVEN NAMED OR GIVEN LINES BUT WAS THROWN IN THE MAIN GROUP ANYWAY. That's like all the info on him. The shield enforcer, please refer to the fish enforcer.
Then Maddie who gets her own paragraph because I know ppl will have quite the reaction to her lol. For the very, very surface level info we have about her, she's cool. She's snatched Caitlyn when Vi wasn't looking, I would've done the same. But once again... Besides that... She doesn't serve the plot besides 1 conversation with Vi, and fucking Caitlyn (which once again, mad respectable, I feel her grind but not like how Caitlyn did-ANYWAY). They only gave her like 2 scenes in act 2 as well 😭. Maybe she'll get 3 in act 3 who knows.
You may have noticed I didn't mention Isha in with the new characters. That's because she's more related to jinx' story than her own character, which in this case is fine. She's essentially what Milo and Clagger were to Powder, but now Isha with jinx. Kinda just a catalyst for act 3 character development. Not much else to say, at least rn, and by me.
Vanders (no, I'm not calling him Warwick. The only time the show says that's his name is in the subtitles. His name is Vander.) arc is moving at the speed of sound, if he's even still alive. He's turned into The Hound of the Lanes (way cooler name fuck you) essentially to see if Singe can, destroys a prison, Jinx and Vi find him and reunite as a familyish. Makes sense so far. They take him to Viktor, who then has a montage of trying to help him, he seemingly has a break through, until the spooky military lady pulls up and Jayce "kills" Viktor and the spooky magic makes Vander a lava monster and the kid shoots him with the spooky magic gun-WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?! HALF OF THAT HAD NO DIALOGUE. No interaction with jinx, seeing the person she became. No reassurance for Vi, who feels like she's failed at everything. Just turn into a lava monster lol. The flashbacks were cool if not unnecessary since Vander and Silco's reasoning for revolution was never in question.
We're just gonna hope Jayce and Viktors story gets more development in act 3, which seems to be the main arc act 3 cared about.
So yeah, turns out I was much more passionate about the season than I thought, lol. Oh, and if there's something I didn't mention, it was either peak fiction or so miniscule it didn't feel worth mentioning.
Thank you for reading.

Dude, every unironic Maddie hater is actually just saying "This isn't my toxic Yuri!"
Literally the last thing Caitlyn did to Vi was hit her with the back of her gun in a sewer, but I'm not seeing fanart of that, lol.

The ninja tend to not use their elemental powers, especially Lloyd. Most likely out of some sense of honor and not wanting to absolutely decimate their opponents.
That being said, as soon as Lloyd sees Cinder standing over Arin Sora and Riyu, he blasts Cinder MULTIPLE TIMES until he backs away without even saying a word yet. Just a detail that I really like about Lloyd and how protective he is of his students.
Now here's a really bad meme I made summing up the scene I can't photoshop plz. 😭
