Without thinking, she stood up and moved closer to him. Leaning against the table for support, she bent down and kissed him. At first, it was a soft, tender kiss, but before she realized it, Harvey had lifted her onto the edge of the table. He pressed his body against her and she could feel his heart pounding as she reached her fingers into his soft hair, pulling him in closer, deepening their kiss.

She would never get tired of this feeling. Every one of her senses seemed to heighten whenever their lips joined. She could hear Harvey's heavy breathing matching her own. She relished how he tasted as his tongue explored her mouth. He always tasted faintly of coffee and occasionally of cigarettes when he had had a particularly stressful day. She loved the way he smelled, the aroma of fresh linen and a hint of sandalwood from his deodorant. Then there was how he looked. She pulled back for a second, staring at him in wonder. He is so damned handsome, she thought. He, too, opened his eyes, gazing back at her with a hungry look, both of them turning red before closing their eyes as his mouth once again devoured hers.
