ROUND 2. I wasn’t gonna post but, but f it. I like to use my IG as a food diary of sorts where I can look back and get ideas or make recommendations to others from myself. So here is my second “savory oatmeal” — toasted oatmeal, fried egg with a smidge of avocado oil spray, julienne carrots, curried mushrooms, balsamic tomatoes, garlic sautéed mixed greens, pistachios, topped with pink Himalayan and black garlic. SAVORY OATMEAL. Was talking to my woman @jfells328 this morning about healthy breakfast options different from the ones we have been having over and over. So I started googling and found this “savory oatmeal” deal. Where the hell have I been!!! I used stuff I had, but can’t wait to try different variations. Base is “toasted” oatmeal with a smidge of butter (not gooey typical oatmeal, it’s more like rice), fried egg, garlic sautéed arugula, diced tomatoes tossed in balsamic vinegar to make ‘em pop, some pistachios, and topped with pink Himalayan salt and black garlic. TAYLOR, TEXAS appreciation post! Went with @lindaloowhoatx to pick up my cool orange and brass vintage lamps from @vintique_mall_taylor and it turned into an unexpected day of funsies. Sadly just finished watching the GET BACK docuseries and I’m sad bc it’s over! I hope PJ releases more bc I could have watched this for weeks. Try to watch in Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision if you have access — and BLAST it. What an absolute treasure for diehard Beatles fans, etc. What they put together and accomplished in just a few short weeks boggles my mind —watching them craft and nerd out while expanding and developing the songs was visual and aural GOLD.
