Sorry but for some reason, my head sees queer platonic relationships as even more intensely connected than sexual/romantic relationships.

Like queer platonic feels like the EMBODIMENT of “soulmates” to me. Maybe it’s because you are truly so connected to someone else’s heart, without sex and romance to tie you together, to blind you to their flaws- and yet you decide to entangle yourself with them anyway.

It’s like the purest form of love, I think. Nothing holds you together, except for that incessant little nagging in your soul. You could live your life perfectly fine without them- they are not your spouse, they are not the parent of your child, they are not the one giving you sexual relief or romantic attention. Yet you yearn to remain with them, to spend your days with them at your side.
