okay because it's been awhile since i've posted art here's some older pieces from 2022 that i still like

Thank you for the ask, Sparky! 14 - What's your favorite thing about drawing?

I really really like the sense of control that drawing can give! Especially with pixel art, I enjoy the methodical nature of placing down individual pixels and seeing how changing just one pixel placement can totally alter how a piece reads. 21 - What do you think your artstyle would taste like? Ooh this is a tough question. For pixel art, I think that it would taste kind of like white chocolate with raspberry popping candy? Like the kind that fizzles in your mouth a bit. To me, the sharp edges of pixels gives me that kind of vibe, and I've had raspberry popping candy only in white chocolate. The chocolate dulls the edge of the fizz a bit (like how I always use anti-aliasing to make the pixels less harsh) and I think the paler kinda faded red of a raspberry matches how I tend to go for desaturated colors in my art. For digital illustrations I genuinely have no clue XD I don't think I do this medium often enough in the past year because I feel like my style changes each time I do these. When it comes to VRoid models, maybe caramel? One of the things that I love the most about my VRoid model style is the very, soft smooth shading. Something about it just reminds me of caramel. Or maybe I just have a sweet tooth haha 24 - What's a compliment about your art that has always stuck with you? Hm, one specific one that has stood out to me is I've been told that my VRoid model doesn't look like a VRoid model, which I like because I feel like it means that I've been able to go in and really infuse it with my own personality and style? I love the way that VRoid models look, but it made me feel like I've really nailed my own style when it comes to rigging and modeling, which is nice. I also used to get told a lot when I was a teenager that my digital illustrations looked like 3d renders which was kind of cool to me XD Artist Ask List

13: Talk about a WIP you like!

Ok so I don't have any pics ready at the moment, but I'm planning at some point to draw a bunch of backgrounds that are related to my character's lore and stuff because I really want to start writing it, and there's one BG in particular that I'm really excited about, here's one of the refs I'm using:

17: What is something you are confident about in your art?

I think one thing that sticks out as something I've really gotten better with as of late is faces and portraits! They used to be a massive roadblock for me as I could never quite get the proportions correct and it would always look too cramped, but now I really feel like I can do characters justice ^^

28: What's a piece you would like to redraw at some point?

Probably one of my old landscape pieces! There's so many more details I think I could add to them now, I would love to do more art like these when I have the time <3

people vaguely saying 'the horrors' as shorthand for 'life problems, don't worry about it' in conversations where the problems are not going to be delved into has got to be one of my favorite new Ways Of Speaking that has emerged. like it's polite and vague and succinct enough for impersonal conversation but also extremely honest. it's very funny. The Horrors. we all know of them.

I’m probably going for 4 here, window seat so I can comfortably dissociate, plus I feel like Bjorn and Lucas would reassure me about not being a bit of a third wheel, something I don’t feel like would happen at 7 for example.

I’ll choose 1 cause I don’t think John would talk to me, and that means I can get eight hours of sleep. Also, 5 is way too scary?!
