"Oh, dear."

You couldn't repress your sigh as you looked at the woman behind the counter, who stood as rigid as a board as she gazed at you without blinking once. "Jaehee, if you greet customers like that, they're going to run away! A café is supposed to be a relaxing place, with comfortable ambiance and a warm smile from a barista that rivals the warmth of the coffee."

The brunette sighed and slumped her shoulders, looking rather dejected as she received your feedback. "I know that, logically," she murmured, "but somehow, when I think about it..." She lifted her head slightly, and you couldn't help but feel a pang in your heart at the sight of her watery brown eyes. "I freeze up at the thought of actually standing face-to-face with a customer."

You blinked sympathetically at her. "Of course, it's a bit scary. This is your dream, after all."

After months of preparation, the grand opening for Jaehee's café was coming up this week. You knew that Jaehee was a perfectionist who poured all her effort into everything she did. She was already impressive as Jumin's assistant, performing his endless and sometimes ridiculous tasks with such poise and precision, but when it came to this coffee shop...

She had poured in her heart, too.

"You've talked to a lot of people as Jumin's assistant, right?" you asked, leaning forward with your elbows on the counter. "Scary businessmen, at that. So it's not the talking part that's intimidating you."

Jaehee shook her head, and her chestnut-colored locks swayed around her face. You couldn't help but smile when you thought about how excited she'd been to grow her hair out again, eagerly sending you photos of her progress. "When I worked as Mr. Han's assistant, I only ever spoke on behalf of him." She furrowed her brow. "If I upset people during negotiations or transactions, they were never upset with me, but rather at Mr. Han. But here..." She glanced over her shoulder at the menu hanging on the wall. "Their quarrels are with me, my shop, my work. I'm not a spokesperson. I'm..."

"You're wonderful," you interrupted her. "Jaehee Kang, you are passionate and dedicated, bright and clever. Honestly, I'm happy you get to greet the world as yourself, and not as an extension of someone else."

The faint rosy hue rising to her cheeks said more than her words could, but she managed to murmur a polite, "Thank you. I really appreciate you saying that."

"And besides," you continued, "that's why we're practicing! Let's start from the top. I'm going to walk in and order, and you're going to show me that beautiful smile of yours!"

Her trepidation was well-founded. Putting all of your time and money into a dream, not knowing if it would soar into the clouds or come crashing at your feet, was not something a coward could do. You were so proud of Jaehee and how far she had come, guided by her heart to do what she felt was right for her life, but when judgment day was coming...

You were scared, too. For her.

"Welcome!" Jaehee's greeting as you waltzed up to the front counter was warmer this time, even though her legs were probably shaking. "What can I get started for you?"

Seeing how earnest she was, how her eyes shone with determination even as the corners of her lips trembled with anxiety, you wanted to help her dreams come true.

"Can I have a caramel macchiato?" you asked, before leaning forward and propping your elbows on the counter again. Your fingers extended forward until you could grab a few strands of her hair to twirl between your fingers, and then with a small giggle you added, "And your number on the side?"

"T-take this seriously!" Jaehee stammered. "Nobody is going to do that!"

"You can't say that for certain," you protested. "A beautiful young woman with eyes richer than hot cocoa, a smile that is more soothing than herbal tea, and--"

"I will brush up on my judo if that's the case!"

"And who can kick my ass? Yeah, this totally counts as practice." You beamed at her, unable to hide the mischief in your tone.

Jaehee brushed your hand away and dusted off her apron. Tutting softly, she straightened up and glowered at you. "You should already know," she whispered, and you were the one who found yourself with burning cheeks as she leaned forward to press her forehead up against yours, "that you're the only one who can order the Jaehee special."

This baby boy is so confused. He puts his hands up to his head and makes a gesture which is supposed to indicate rabbit ears just to be sure he understood exactly what you. ‘A bunny? Why a bunny?’ - ‘Because you’re cute like a little rabbit, Yoosung!’  ‘Ahh!’ he gets a bit flustered and his face is absolutely burning with embarrassment at the compliment, but he rushes into ‘okaybutyoucan’ttellSeven’.

He’ll order some ears and a little white tail online the next time you’re out because lord knows he didn’t want to get weird looks from buying that stuff in person. He won’t admit it, but he spent a while looking for yellow ears that would match his blonde hair.

On the day it arrives, you just so happened to be out and Yoosung would put the ears and tail on and wait for you to come home. He stands in the middle of the room with his hands bent in front of his chest to mimic a rabbit and, whilst horrifically embarrassed, jumps over to you.

Yoosung’s poor face is absolutely as pink as the inner fabric on his bunny ears and burned to the touch. Your heart fluttered as you watched your absolute idiot of a boyfriend hop over to you and you broke out into a laugh. 

‘Why are you laughing? I thought this was what you wanted!’ He lifted his hands up to cover his face, which was now the shade of scorched red and you covered him with little kisses, assuring him that it was exactly what you wanted- you just couldn’t believe he looked so cute!

Seven absolutely got sent a picture and he uses it as his lockscreen image - much to Yoosung’s dismay.

Initially, Jaehee would be rather taken aback by the request, but after some consideration would agree to it. She wasn’t one to judge if that’s the kind of thing you were into. 

Like Yoosung, she would order it online because she didn’t want to be seen buying it in person out of embarrassment. Of course, she would have first done some research on the best brands, style and such beforehand so she was getting the best product for her moneys worth.

You would have come home from work one day to find her nowhere in the apartment, except for a small voice indicating she was in the bedroom. You opened the door the door to find Jaehee dressed as a bunny... A Playboy bunny. 

She had the ears, the cufflinks, the black one-piece suit, fishnets and stilettos. You couldn’t even formulate a sentence, she had certainly taken your idea and ran with it. You weren’t expecting this. Perhaps her time with Jumin had really started rubbing off on her.

You could tell she was a little embarrassed to be seen like this, but she came over and kissed you on the cheek to welcome you home. ‘Is this what you wanted, ____?’  - ‘Most definitely.’
