i am writing my own season 5 here are my notes 

things that are happening 

there is a giant gate opened up in hawkins 

causing everyone to leave 

the mind flayed or part of it was in russia and that never got cleared up 

joyce and hopper are settling into their places of the parents of will,el,and jonathan 

el has her powers back but still is seeming to rely on other peoples love that depends on her powers 

need her to have charachter development and not just mike saying she is a superhero and says he loves her for her to be strong 

will is connected to the upside down / vecna / the mind flayer

also he is in love with mike 

dustin is dealing with the loss of eddie and everything else 

lucas is dealing with the loss of eddie too and max and everything else with racism to 

mike is just dealing with internalized homophobia 

wants el to be happy and doesnt want to hurt her 

is still scared of his feelings for will 

“I'm supposed to like her, why don’t I like her the way I like you!!” type stuff 

erica dealing with all the trauma too 

steve was hit harder than he expected with the loss of eddie 

robin dealing with being in a homophobic town but also trauma of the upside down and the duffers also beign homophobic 

nancy has to get over her little love trying and just communicate 

jonothan has to communicate with nancy truthfully and do what he wants with his life or whatever 

argyle has got to either get back home if he has people there or something and also dealing with all the stuff that has happened 

mikes parents have to finnaly be told kind of what is going on with the upside down 

karen would be accepting of mike being queer in a awkward way. it has the best intentions they need there kitchen talk scene

ted would pretend that he’s straight 

el has to realize she is still a person with out her powers and also with them 

she doesent need mikes love romantically to be strong 

she needs to learn the difference between platonic and romantic 

dealing with childhood trauma 

also has to have good sibling moments with will 

got a defeat vecna and close the upside down for good 

they wouldn’t let victor creel out most likely 

vecna is killed or destroyed whatever by el giving being powerful and giving a speech about humans how there is a sort of structure but sometimes that is fine you don’t got to go destroying the world over it 

it shows how much she has learned and grew as a person from her childhood and growing up in general 

vickie is bi and has a DEVELOPED relationship with robin 

not just a scene at the end where they hold hands and now we’re just suppose to think they’re in a healthy relationship 

give queer couples the same attention as heterosexual ones 

unrelated but i love lumax 

but max should have just died 

they literally needed a death to open a gate it should have been her

 it they killed her just to have her come back to life 

they killed eddie just for him to save absolutely no one 

it would have made so much more sense if she had just died 

bad writing i can't undo but i can write so

dude yeah my jacket is so precious to me i put so much work into it

today, i learned that some people view their battle jackets as a representation of themselves. ik i'm probs behind, but just the idea of eddie breaking up a stancy moment by throwing something that he probably views as an extension of himself at steve to wear? immaculate. not to mention, steve continues wearing that battle jacket for a good portion. the fact that it was the single most important article of clothing eddie owned, personalized by hand to express himself and the things he likes, and it ended up on steve, when he could've just given him the leather jacket? they make me think many thoughts
