Yes, "problematic" content is not abusive, illegal or a real problem, but calling artists and writers pedophiles for what they like is not worse than conflating pedophilia with child molestation. These are two very different things not necessarily related. A pedophile is just someone attracted to prepubescent kids. Most of them never abuse a child. Also, most child molesters arent pedophiles.

I get the point. Thought crimes dont exist and attacking people for crimes they didnt commit is wrong. But this also applies to pedophiles. OP should be talking about child predators, not pedophiles. Words have meanings and they matter. A lot.

Also, promoting vigilantism is really dangerous. A lot of innocent people has been hurt by it. They have lost family, friends, jobs or even their lives. That isnt a game. It has real life consequences. Doxxing is always wrong, no matter what that person has done (or what you think they have done). And in a lot of cases if you find evidence it would be refused if there is a trial bc the way you got it was illegal. If you have actual suspicious or find something by chance call the police, but dont dig it youself nor go around playing the predator hunter bc you are gonna end causing problems and hurting people. Let professionals do their job.

This is the problem with pro-shippers. Yes, they understand imagination is free, fantasies are amoral and censorship is wrong, but when it comes to certain groups they show the same misconceptions and rejection that antis have.

If we want to make a point, we need to be coherent and talk properly and not with fancy words that appeal to visceral feelings and prejudices
