This is terrifyingly accurate, and now I finally understand why normal pain scales are so difficult to use.

this is the picture I show any doctor when I have to go.

Anymore, when I get asked about my pain, I just hand the doctor my phone. I've been at a constant 8 on the chronic illness side of the picture for a year and a half now. I hate it but I thought this could be useful. I straight up got the off of Google so I am unsure who to credit for the original but I have been a great help to me so I wanted to share.

Ever have someone tell you that they listened to your therapy sessions for an undisclosed amount of time and "it's funny what you said to your therapist"?

And doubled down with "if you've been in therapy for 15 years maybe you need a new therapist" when 4 months ago you lost the best one you've had that took years to find.

For me, therapy isn't a destination - it's a medication. I'm alive because of my therapist.
