I’m a sci fi and fantasy fan hugely enjoying The Rings of Power, so thought I’d show it some love.

Here is the LEAKED SOUNDTRACK to the upcoming Rings of Power prequel - a film which tells the epic tale of Sauron and Adar, from the tragic corruption of Adar to the slaying of Sauron with his own crown, featuring unworldly beasts, hideous Uruk battle contraptions, explorer dwarves seeking mining opportunities in Mordor, armies marauding across the mysterious volcanic landscape, unprecedented levels of love/hate ANGST, and, of course, more orcs than you can shake a stick at (or a special effects department make up brush). This will inevitably get the green light as soon as we pitch it to Amazon, so I thought I’d get a head start on the music.
This is the film the metal/goth communities were destined to produce! Histrionic, operatic, no holds barred.

😂 😂 No, Tumblr TV! Sauron frankly scares the crap out of me, even in his pretty bow-hair form, let alone flopping into existence as a hairy parasite! No offence to anyone who finds him attractive (presumably not in the state of this pic, then I’m judging)….but if I spotted Sauron I would be grabbing the nearest horse and galloping away post-haste, pausing only to scoop up Adar (he’s not dead, he just needs medical attention, obvs).

My last post featuring these two was a joke, but I think I accidentally invented something. Two slightly unhinged father figures/leaders with facial scarring? Thrandar, anyone?
It could go one of two ways, depending on the time available…
A) A heartrending epic spanning hundreds of years, in which they destroy each other in more ways than one
B) An occasional series in which they reminisce about ancient battles, while complaining about ungrateful children and the current state of Middle Earth

Celebrimbor: “It is not strength that overcomes darkness, but light. Armies may rise, hearts may fail, yet still light endures, and is mightier than strength. For in its presence all darkness must flee.”
Fantasy isn’t always escapist. It helps to make sense of things. Through its format and tone, the Rings of Power is doing a really good job of showing how power corrupts in a particularly tragic way. People can be manipulated into evil. Sometimes their hands are tied: they have to make a move, and they are limited in what they can do, and end up making things worse. I know Tolkien didn’t like obvious allegory - and I wish it wasn’t that relevant right now! - but it seems a very appropriate story for what we see in the world today. And there is a message of faith in there, which doesn’t have to be religious. Sometimes we can’t change things apart from what’s immediately around us. Sometimes the only thing is to keep going and hope for the best.

Eleven throne calling Orc throne!
My first post - I was choosing something serious befitting the tragic tone of ROP - then it all went south when I saw the second gif and remembered the top one, of my favourite character from the Hobbit…
