since skelly crews final is about to come out I would like to drop my obscure theory as to who I think Jod might be based on mostly vibes, and a few character traits.

I think he's Jaybo Hood, this kid from the clone wars episode mystery of a thousand moons.

now, at first I was just like "haha their names are kind of similar," but our first introduction to this kid is him having reprogramed a bunch of droids to be his servants, which would align with how Jod treats droids. not to mention his affinity for droids could be a sign of early force sensitivity, much like Anakin in episode I.

secondly, there was his line in episode 4 where he says the air taste like ashy dust and reminds him of his home planet. Jaybo's planet Iego as we saw it in the clone wars was surrounded by a lazer web that destroyed anything trying to leave which would certainly leave a strong impression of ashy dust. As a bonus note, Iego is part of the ash worlds sector. Coincidence? I mean probably, but it is fun to think about.

As a third point, there are similarities that can be drawn between Iego's moon web and the barrier. Star wars is a fan of it's narrative repetition. I think putting him in a position where he's trapped on a planet by a planet wide security system would fall into the "it's like poetry, it rhymes" category.

Now onto things mentioned in interviews.

Jude Law has spoken a few times about how Jod didn't really have a childhood; it was snatched away from him and all he sees when he looks at the kids are small adults. He doesn't understand why they can't just survive, why they're so inexperienced. He has no real concept of innocence.

That would align with a kid like Jaybo who has had to take what he can to get in a pretty rough situation. Not to mention his introduction is sending his reprogrammed battle droid out to the jedi with the message "The venerable Jaybo Hood requests an audience" (venerable beings someone accorded a great deal of respect especially because of age wisdom or character) despite the fact he's a ten year old kid.

Jude Law also speaks several times about drawing inspiration from Han Salo for Jod.

if you look at the behind the scenes notes on wikipidia it says Jaybo Hood was described by Dave Filoni as "a cross between a young Anakin and a young Han Solo."

None of this is really enough for a full theory, I just think its fun to think about. Jod could be someone from legends, someone entirely original, a jedis kid, or somehow a Palpatine clone (given the prevalence of project necromancer in recent media.) Really I just hope they give us some kind of payoff to explain some of their writing decisions.

hey anon! the fic is called Fate uh finds a way, it is a play on the jarrasic park quote tho.

The summary for this fic is: The Ashla has been trying to bring together the warrior, the child and the fool to set them on the path to finding Lira San since the clone wars. They just haven’t figured that out yet.

It’s basically a series of snippets told from Hondo’s POV in which every few years he does something that through a series of increasingly bizarre circumstances Kallus and Zeb find themselves getting involved in. From wonky ship controls, to petty theft, to space dinosaurs will these three ever complete a single task successfully?

Full title: What happens in space Vegas, stays in your file for the rest of your life. A then and now love story from a Galaxy far far away.

Then: Taking time out of his Honour guard training to attend a 6 month course aimed at republic rich kids is the last thing Zeb wants to do. But it was offered to neutral planets and the queen thought it was a good idea to send someone, Ashla help him so did Zeb. But he isn’t prepared for just how annoying they are. And he definitely isn’t prepared to fall in love with one of them.

Now: Alexsandr Kallus-Orrelias could have been a perfect ISB officer, or so he’s told time and again by his superiors, if it weren’t for his last name. A tie to a incident, to a world the empire tries to forget about. He claims it was an act of youthful rebellion, marrying someone ones parents wouldn’t approve of in Canto Bight was not unheard of at the time, it means nothing now and his loyalty to the empire is unwavering. Some days he tells that lie so well he almost believes it. A part of him wishes it were true, it would be so much easier then knowing he’d helped kill the only person he’d ever loved enough to consider leaving the empire for. But he’s made his home with his grief and mourning. So when he glimpses a familiar face amongst a group of rebels that blow up his hanger and nearly sucks him into space Kallus is, among other things, confused.

Hello! For the WIP title game: Please can you tell us about the Retirement fic?

Sorry I'm a little behind on these, but thank you for the ask 🧡💜

Retirement fic is one I started a while back that is just more or less the two of them enjoying their current attempt at retirement on a little Farm in Lira San. I wanted to explore them as a couple who already know each other so well and give them the freedom and time and space to try new things. The direction this one took was Zeb surprising Kal with lingerie and feeling a little unsure of how he's going to react because simply put…it's something that hasn't had a chance to come up yet. So it's like spicey and domestic but also soft with a focus on the praise and adoration and just "that's my person and their gorgeous". But as a side note my main reason for writing it is because I wanted to practise writing and posting spice before it comes up in WatL. I still pretty new to sharing my writing and can get pretty in my head about weather or not I am conveying things in a way that other people will be able to read it and enjoy it. So it's very much a passion project and I'm looking forward to having it completed.

Hey Anon, I don’t know when I will get to writing this because I accidentally wrote a novel length fic for Star wars Rebels which is my main project rn, but here are some of my ideas I have jotted down to explore when I get a chance to write it!

[Edit: I actually wrote this reply before TLD came out and am writing a short fic for that so I will have a little something out soon but not this one]

I have a lot of ideas for them. There is exploring the big things like noise and fire that can hurt them both, as well as similar stimuli. Does venom associate being unnaturally warm in that way one can when exposed to synthetic heat (like a heater) with fire? Does light sensitivity ever push one of them, or both of them, into a state of panic? What ways can they find to make these things less scary? Do they explore music, cool sunglasses, lava lamps?

Then theirs the little ways they interact while Eddie is working. I like to think venom would hover and try to make sure Eddie is having food or water or coffee, but also bounce ideas or add a new perspective, trying to figure out what he needs before he needs it.

But also I’d love to explore the intimacy of their existence as them. They’ve both felt like outsiders, individuals who think or feel or react in a way that’s against the norm. This is probably the first time either of them haven’t had to mask, hide their thoughts, the first time they can just…exist with someone else. And exist with themselves.

And the quite moments of simply sitting, thinking about nothing. The deep existential conversations that offer insight into how each view the world. The hyper-focus google spirals at 3am, pausing movies so they can talk about their thought on it, on something seemingly unrelated or so they can google an actor. The moments of Eddie wanting to show venom things, foods, experiences. To share his joys and passions and heartbreaks. To explore the thrill and excitement and the feeling of ‘us’ and ‘good’ and ‘right’ that come with fighting bad guys.

Then there’s their romance, which I like to think is so much bigger then love or lust. Its bliss, its rapture, is the feeling of being know, being seen, being whole. Its the two of them breaking apart and coming back together so many time they don’t know where one of them starts and the other ends, because for them that boundary need not exist at times like this. It’s the invention of a new language spoken with teeth and tongues and just the right amount of pressure that the two of them create to say what they can’t put into words.

I think so often about how the entire reason the two of them have their fight in Let there be Carnage is because they both care about each other more then they care about them selves. They both want to protect people, but more then that they want to protect their other half, this person they love and care for and its so complicated at times, but really it’s very simple.

I have so many thoughts and ideas I could talk about them for ages. But I also know my head cannons are based around how I experience the world, which for me is often so intense that I struggle to make it small enough to put it into thoughts and words. They might not necessarily be relatable to anyone else.

Anyways I’m sorry this took me a while to get to and that it turned out a little long but I would definitely like to turn it into a proper fic when I get the time/spoons. 🖤🩶🤍
