Thinking about this makes me so conflicted. What is American culture? What’s our society consist of? We’re a consuming nation, making money to buy things we don’t need or even want. We are the ones who feed corporations and can’t help ourselves to do so. Some are necessary and needed. But, keyword: some. We are completely surrounded by all these businesses. And what do they care about? Just money, and themselves. Sure, we shouldn’t be in debt, but causing other people to go in debt this way is just cruel. We are all just slaves to corporations in a “free” country.
