Thinking about someone with a horrendous head cold getting arrested for something stupid, getting cuffed and thrown into the back of a police car. They’re not worried about the arrest or the charge, but they are worried about their nose. It’s running onto their upper lip and they can feel some very strong sneezes brewing in their chapped nose. The cop is ignoring their plea for tissues and without access to their hands this arrest is about to get a whole lot messier.

a couple sitting together on the train, one of them clearly under the weather, their nose is noticeably red and chapped, and they've been sniffling the whole journey. their partner has one arm wrapped around their shoulder, holding them close to their side, letting the sickie rest their head on their shoulder, and whenever a tickle arises, the sickie turns their head inwards, towards their partner's neck/shoulder, burying their nose into it, to muffle their sneeze(s). their partner never fails to say bless you, and rubs their hand up and down their arm sympathetically.

In a quick, less than fortunate series of events, they’d discovered that the black waxed leather was not very absorbent at all. They stare hazily at the slick, translucent mess they’d made on the back of their partner’s jacket, glistening under passing streetlights. A troubled sigh tickles the nape of the driver's neck, but they can't look back.

Instead, the passenger's body slumps against their partner’s back as they hold on. Wind blows their hair away from their face, from a glowing red nose and weary eyes. Their arms squeeze a little as they press their face back into the warm space between their partner’s shoulder blades and sneeze again with abandon. The buzz of a small groan and cough is more felt than heard by the driver. 

The hum of the engine drones on through lonely streets. From a distance, it masks the sound of frequent tired snuffles, and more arduous sneezes muffled into leather, fabric, and muscle.
