I FINISHED WATCHING IN STARS AND TIME

It fundamentally changed me. (haha, change)

I have so many thoughts on the themes, the characters, the plot twists, on the way it's helping me miss my friends I moved away from in a tangible way that doesn't overwhelm me, on how I need to make dolls so bad I'm going to explode, on the game mechanics and the storytelling and the music I will listen to forever.

But alas, words. I cannot use them all up right now I suppose.

I will say this.

okay so @snowpoet123 ... uh a while ago I mentioned having a fanfic idea where Lu GUang went back so many times that Cheng Xiaoshi started getting subconcious awareness of other timelines, started to go insane/semi-god-like, the whole thing?

This is basically that. (and it's own thing as well that's perfcection incarnate). Lu Guang with Cheng XIaoshi's sense of humor, his POV, goes back over a 100 times, goes insane, link click on steroids.

In stars and time perfect in its own way too. It's everything I ever wanted from a time travel story. It's all of tumblr and fanfic storytelling, where it holds nothing back and allows itself alll the time in the world to truly let the characters suffer, then comfort, then suffer again.

OFFICIAL FEBUWHUMP COMMENT MARATHON

8-9 MARCH

to cap off this year's febuwhump, a new challenge has arrived!

on the 8th and 9th of march, the weekend after the closing of the official febuwhump ao3 collection (5 march), febuwhump participants and supporters (yes, even those who didn't take part!) are encouraged to go on ao3 and support as many fics as possible! that means reading - and most importantly, commenting - on as many fics as they can over the course of one weekend!

engagement is such a massive issue in fic writing right now, and combined with how most creators are too busy making their prompt fills to engage with others' work, a lot of febuwhump creations aren't getting the love and attention they deserve!

so mark it in your calendars, book that weekend for yourself and some incredible fics, and get commenting!

plus! we will be taking a count at the end of the weekend on an honour code system of how many fics you commented on to hopefully get a look at how many comments were posted over the weekend!

(there is no prize for the most comments posted other than getting to be the person who spread the most happiness)

This week was surprisingly busy with life. I only managed 4/7, but managed to make up for the one I missed last week. I'm now officially three behind on schedule, but I haven't given up hope of becoming a completionist again this year.

That said, I'm super proud of myself - my word document has 14.000 words in it, on average, I've written more than a thousand words daily, additionally I put in another 10.000 words/ three chapters in my all-star 'Three Time's a Charm' this week (!!!) so I could update in time for Valentine's day and give my beta-reader some more time to review the material.

Especially my Link Click contributions found their audience (which is why I switched out my multi-fandom plan for febuwhump to include some more Shiguang, AFTG has its own crazy people). I'm proficient in doomed time-travel bl, what can I say...

My Link Click/ Dungeon Meshi Fusion was a stroke of genius, it's so fun. I'm feeling productive and I'm looking forward to another week of whump!

Dominant in the way the livestock guardian dog to it's flock is dominant. Blood stains my muzzle, though my bite does not know the taste of a single lamb. When the day is done, my flock tucks in for the cold night but I do not sleep. I lick the sweet faces of the ewes and carry on my nightly duties as guardian of the gentle. For whom, I would lay down my life. Defending from beast and brother alike. Until copper rivers bloom upon pale snow, taking with it him or I. But for now I lay still and harmless at their feet. Content to watch them graze spring grass while the little lambs play and bleat.

I feel so cheated by Bridon Arc because we did not get any good new info about Lu Guang's life before CXS. Only that he had an ability mentor figure and... yeah, that's about it, I think.

I'm so disappointed. I really thought they would feed us some more crumps, but no...

Guess I'll have to do it myself then >:)

Febuwhump 2025 - day 2 - holding back tears Trigun Stampede - Eriks/Vash visits the crater months after the JuLai incident; with the memories, his guilt returns as well.

Febuwhump 2025 - Day 3 - pinned down Dead Plate - Best served cold, but focused on Vince.

Febuwhump 2025 - day 4 - hivemind Trigun Stampede - During the JuLai incident, Vash is soothed by his sister's voices.

Febuwhump 2025 - Day 5 - not trusting reality Countdown to Countdown - Irid's alternate reality book. We follow Lillium, who is faced with everything he has lost or never had.

Febuwhump 2025 - day 7 - alternate timeline self Link Click - Nightmares are flickers of alternate timelines. Lu Guang is haunted by deaths that never happened.

What a week... I got 6/7, half of them surprisingly turned into Trigun Stampede, but I'll take it. And each story more than 1k words! I'm especially proud of 'The Concept of Forever' and looking forward to the next three weeks.
