I found a VHS tape at the junk store, labeled just “A Surprise!”. Since I’d recently set up my VCR and old 80s TV, I thought I should check it out.

The line usually told about chickadees is “They’re so sweet they’ll eat out of human hands,” when the line should be “They’re so full of jackass machismo that they trust us implicitly.” Imagine if some huge, horrible elder god, over twenty or thirty times your height, boiled out of the ocean and held out a hand of chicken nuggets, and you went “Oh fuck yes” and then climbed up the eldritch thing to get to those nuggets

That is how the chickadee do. Magpies scatter, bluejays hide. Chickadees will fucking divebomb you if they think you’re late with the sunflower seeds
