I feel we should also include being gone for a while then coming back, you lose a good chunk of your education and have the added pressure of school work, as someone that had to leave school for a while; I can say that I don’t know half of what I need to do and I’m failing all my classes. When I left I was struggling with horrible mental health and was (for whatever reason) expected to keep up with school.

The same goes for people that leave due to injury. It’s not fare that people are expected to have a full education to be smart / even a good person.

the whole idea of “stay in school!!!!” is great and all but hard to hear when you’re someone who couldn’t stay in school

so here’s a post for every person who’s had to drop out of school. whether it was due to illness or money or just because you didn’t want to be there, you’re no less of a person for dropping out. you own your own life, and you’re just as important as people who were able to graduate
