I can't remember if I posted about this but what the fuck is up with Twist's dad??
Like, he only died because he chose to just leap off a cliff while his SON and stolen slugs were on the back of it. This could've easily been avoided? Twist could've still had a father?? He might've still held a grudge against the Shanes but at least he wouldn't have been an orphan!
I genuinely wanna know his father's thought process when it came to running away and decided "LETS JUMP OFF THIS CLIFF" not to mention, TWIST WAS OKAY WITH IT?????? He was ready to die for stolen slugs???? He blames Will Shane completely when his father also has a lot of blame for deciding to JUMP OFF A CLIFF

I don't think Eastern Caverns ruined the show. I like the season, even though I don't like the poor worldbuilding and the "white saviour trope".
I think Into the Shadows marks its downfall. That movie gave more questions than answers. Tad isn't a good villain. The conflict with the Shadow Clan could have been interesting but no, they didn't focus on that. The Shane Gang also acted out of character, especially when they first met Tad and realising that he's from the Surface.
ATTENTION SLUGTERRA FANS THIS IS IMPORTANT
So I just watched a YouTube video on Slugterra (rare I know) and they were saying how they think the show fell apart because of the eastern caverns season because the fandom didn't like it but I don't know if it's that's true or not so I wanted to make a poll

Random Headcanon 8
Will Shane is the reason that Enigmo slugs are so rare to come by. They weren’t always highly valued before Will came along and figured out their true abilities. The only Enigmo we can confirm he did not use for his messages has been Mo, the Enigmo Eli saved in ‘Endangered Species’ from Gerald Stocker.
Bonus; The Enigmo slug we see in Spink's collection he hands off to Nacho in 'The Trade' could either be Mo or another Enigmo. In the case I choose, it isn't Mo, but rather the Enigmo that ends up belonging to my OC Dandy. She calls them Momo and is fascinated by the fact Will Shane put a message into the slug and has been trying to decode it since she found out.

A thorough analysis on Molenoid history
I believe that the Molenoids' motto "ignorance is bliss" comes from them viewing their excellent memory as a curse. In "The Hard Part", when Trixie lost the map of Deep Storage, Pronto assured the gang that he already had the map in his brains. It did seem that Pronto had led the gang to a dead end, but the fact that the Scrap Force knew what the gang was searching for and waited for them at the location they believed that the gang would find the Vitalis Crystal, I believe that Pronto did manage to lead his friends to the right place, albeit longer. In "Keys to the Kingdom", Pronto drew a map to the Vault of Knowledge for the gang in just a few seconds. It is a brief map but it's pretty accurate. Since Pronto has not returned to Molemound for many years, it is impressive that he still remembers the route well. With that, I can see that Pronto has an extremely high memory, and this trait might be inherited in all Molenoids. Unfortunately, having an excellent memory can be a curse. Even when the maps were destroyed, the bad guys could kidnap and torture Molenoids who had seen the maps since they have excellent memory. You can have the knowledge of the entire world but you can't have peace. It is an awful trade off. That's why they choose ignorance over wisdom. To protect its people, the king of the Molenoids might have ordered the construction of the Vault of Knowledge so they could store all their maps and records there and seal them away. As time passed, the Molenoids who had seen those maps and records grew old and later passed away. They could still orally pass down what the Molenoids have like the Mapa Mundi to the future generations, but the future generations have no idea what they look like and the older generations took those visual information and memories to their graves. With that, the bad guys gradually stopped bothering them, and the Molenoids are safe.
However, the Molenoids take "ignorance is bliss" too far to the point that majority of them become too dependent on their king. Of course, the minority of them are rich and highly educated, even some still continues their roles as trackers. I believe that the kings generally consist of trackers because they have the knowledge and skills to take care of their people. By choosing trackers to be kings, they can also discourage them to go out exploring and force them to serve the people. We know that a part of their rulebook has been sealed in the Vault of Knowledge, and I believe that it was done when they were sealing their maps and records. The rulebook does contain a rule that allows the king to choose a proxy when he's unavailable, and it may contain a rule about being eligible for the throne for having the most awesome slugs. I have a feeling that the king or the king's advisor that time decided to take out this part of the rulebook and hide it away so that they can assure that the future kings cannot find any loopholes to excuse themselves from their duties or to have anyone else to challenge the throne. I like to believe that Pronto and Sedo's bitter rivalry comes from conflicting ideologies. Their families are well-off with Pronto's family having a long line of explorers and Sedo's family being rich. Sedo wants to use his resources to provide luxurious comfort and relaxation for his people, upholding their motto "ignorance is bliss". Pronto, on the other hand, wants to continue their legacy as explorers and trackers, and prefers that they should be more independent. Their rivalry might have extended to "who should be king" that time. Ultimately, the king of the Molenoids that time chose Pronto to be his heir. We have seen a younger Pronto going on adventures in the slugisodes, including that time he "helped" the king to "retrieve" the stolen golden chalice. I feel that the king chose Pronto because he's more eligible for the throne.
I am sure that their rivalry got worse when Pronto became king. Sedo felt that he would be a better king but the king chose Pronto to discourage him from going out exploring further and wanted him to use his skills as an explorer to serve his people. Sedo became more bitter when Pronto ran away from his duties, abandoning his people to seek out "selfish" enjoyment. Without any rule to take the throne for himself and seeing the living conditions of his people deteriorate and their reputation gets tainted, Sedo decided to take matters into his own hands. He went outside and spent his resources to make himself look good in hopes that he could show everyone the perfect image of a Molenoid. He wanted to crush the negative stereotypes surrounding his people and make them likeable. I feel that he chose to work for Blakk because he wanted to use Blakk's resources to help his people like improving their living conditions. Of course, Sedo was unsuccessful to catch the Crystalyd slug for Dr. Blakk thanks to Pronto, who he has not seen for a long time. Then, he offered to hand over the Mapa Mundi in exchange for his services. That time Blakk was planning to take over Slugterra and was interested in exploring unknown caverns like the Outback Reach, so he gave Sedo a second chance. He sent Nacho to cause trouble in Molemound so the gang must go there, forcing Pronto to go back home and reveal himself as the king to his people. Nacho baited the gang to the Vault of Knowledge so he could retrieve the Mapa Mundi while Pronto was stuck to serve his people, giving Sedo the opportunity to challenge him for the throne, and if he succeeded, he could do anything for his people.
Thankfully, Nacho didn't get the actual map and Pronto defeated Sedo to reclaim the throne. Eli got the real Mapa Mundi and suggested Pronto to destroy it. Pronto seemed to be upset that the Mapa Mundi was the last surviving record of Molenoid history but he agreed that destroying the map was the best choice for Slugterra and his people. Pronto took a look at the map and then let Burpy burn it. I have mentioned that Pronto has an excellent memory, and this might be a trait for all Molenoids. Since Pronto has seen the Mapa Mundi before burning it, every information from the map is now inside his brains even though the physical copy is gone. This means that the last record of Molenoid history actually survives in Pronto's brains and he can pass it down orally to the next generation, the next heir or to his friends if he wants to. Even if Blakk knows that Molenoids have high memory and that he deduced that Pronto would have seen it as he is the only Molenoid to have seen the Mapa Mundi, he knows that he can't pry any information from Pronto due to his loyalty to the Shane Gang. Besides, as the only Molenoid that has seen the Mapa Mundi, Pronto technically is now the best tracker in Slugterra and this will satisfy his ego.

So I’ve been trying to rewatch slugterra and as I was watching mecha mutiny the gang jumped over a gorge or something like that and I was looking at it and I was like huh why does that background look so familiar until I realized it’s the background for the third ascension episode. Here are the comparisons
Nothing really special to add I just thought that it was pretty cool that they’re using a background from fucking season 1 of the show.

Episode 3 won and done and I think the best way to sum up this episode is with this picture of the slugs giving Eli a hug on his shoulder.
Literally so fucking cute. Also I think it’s basically confirmed that the shadow of the bad guy that we saw in the first episode is definitely Dr. Blakk just considering the chuckle that is heard and the silhouette but I don’t know I’m still not sure
Like it looks very much like Dr. Blakk but maybe they’re doing that on purpose to make us think it’s him when it’s not. Also I just wanted to add about the I think ghouled hoverbug that is shown that is following Trixie and Eli. It doesn’t look like a normal ghoul hoverbug. Here is what one looked like in the show in the eastern cavern episodes
But the one they show in ascension doesn’t have the red eyes but green eyes with white but it has the same teeth of the ghouled one.
I was finally able to put the picture of the hoverbug up and seeing the two pictures up really shows the difference. So maybe they could have forgotten what it looked like or maybe it’s like a half ghoul or something like that. Like it doesn’t even have the red eyes of most ghouls. It would be really cool if it was like a half ghoul but more likely than not it’s probably an animation error. But if anyone has any thoughts I would love to here them

Here’s my original slug for Slugterra, the Beautoxin! They are toxic slugs, and 70% of them are female.

Maybe it was mentioned and I’m forgetting but what’s Blakks doctorate in? I feel like it’s implied he’s a chemist or maybe a geneticist but it’s funnier to think he’s just committing malpractice all over Slugterra and has never actually gotten a degree in anything other than business because he’s a BUSINESSMAN

Slugterra, The Deep Caverns and The Surface
This idea came to me when I was rewatching Slugterra and a certain line from Deadweed caught my attention. The idea goes as follows:
The Deep Caverns = Destruction/consuming energy
The Surface = Creation/‘making’ energy
Slugterra = The balance between them
To get more in depth, the surface is where all of the energy originates, mostly because of the sun. It is filled with life, but there’s no ‘magic’ or creatures that can set themselves on fire or make a tornado or transform at a certain velocity.
The surface also has a separation from Slugterra and the deep caverns, since it doesn’t gain from the lands below it. Out of the three realms, it is the one that knows the least of the other two, where as Slugterra knows vaguely of the surface and The Deep Caverns, and The Deep Caverns knows absolutely about Slugterra and the surface.
Then there’s The Deep Caverns. It feeds off of the dregs of energy that come down from the surface and Slugterra, but it’s always hungry for more. As Kord said in the Deadweed episode: “it (dark water) sucks the life right out of you”, dark water has this affect on the creatures from the caverns above. Chances are the realm it originated from follows the same rules.
The reason regular slugs can’t be fired in the deep caverns is because it’s feeding off of their energy, leaving them with enough to survive, but not enough to transform. This is also why Ghouls are so strong in Slugterra, they’re feeding off of and drawing in the energy around them and there is a lot of it. Though this also means the more ghouls there are, the less powerful they are.
That leaves Slugterra, the balance in between the two realms and the only thing keeping them apart. Slugterra and the slugs within it are the perfect example of what is possible when the two opposing realms are brought together and stable. The balance allows for the energy to be used instead of made or consumed.
Theoretically, a balance could be reached between the surface and the deep caverns that would allow both sides to wield energy like Slugterra does to an even greater degree, but the journey to reaching that balance could very well destroy both sides before any part is stable. Not to mention maintaining that balance only becomes more difficult over the larger area.
That’s why sets of caverns are separate. They each reached a balance faster because it was over a smaller area. The barriers are in place to stabilise the balance.

Slugterra Mecha beast Headcanons
The reason mecha beasts are modelled after animals from the surface is because humans don’t originate from Slugterra. When they went down they brought with them tales of animals that soon became myths that inspired the mecha beasts shape
There are also mecha beasts based off of now extinct animals (like mammoths), since the first humans in Slugterra arrived so long ago
There’s even some mythical creature mecha beasts, though these are few and far between as they’re often custom made (which is quite expensive)
The newer mecha beasts have less personality. The older the mecha beast the more they emote
This is why Pronto’s Donkey sasses him, as it’s an older model (older than the rest of the Shane’s gang’s)
Blite’s mecha beast would also be quite emotive, but due to the damage sustained over the course of its time in the cavern of time with no repairs, it no longer can (at least, not immediately noticeably)
The reason mecha beasts have less personality is because certain powerful people that didn’t treat their mechas with more respect started complaining, so mecha forges gave in and fixed the ‘issue’
Now it’s the normal, though some riders still prefer the personalities and can get their mechas modded
Different mecha beast animals have different uses, like donkey’s are typically used for hauling, horses for speed, big cats for agility, etc etc
