I’ve been thinking a lot about this panel:

And how I (along with most people i think), immediately saw the parallel to this panel:

And while this is a GREAT parallel that says a lot about Hinata and Kageyama’s relationship, and how Kageyama has become a source of inspiration for Hinata, I also wanna talk about Hinata’s bike and how I’ve always associated it with Haikyu!!’s themes about hunger and drive, and how some of my initial feelings toward that Brazil panel have slightly changed the more I thought about it.

My name is Mahmoud from besieged Gaza, 25 years old.

My life was happy and beautiful before the war. I was achieving my ambitions and dreams step by step. I graduated from university—the College of Dentistry—and was ranked first among my peers, so the college offered me a position. I also started working at a private clinic.

I married my beloved dentist Abeer, and she even became pregnant. We wove dreams for our future child.

But then the war came, our life has turned upside down since the beginning of the Israeli genocide on Gaza (7th Oct. 2023), the dreams turned into nightmares, and everything was shattered.

We only spent two months in our new, happy home; we didn’t have enough time to create memories of love together. The house, the university, and the clinic were destroyed, and now I have no job to support us. We left our home under shelling and destruction, taking only a few clothes to cover ourselves. We had nowhere to go.

My wife endured her pregnancy during the war, without food, water, or medicine. We were deprived of independence and privacy in the beginning of our life together.

After six months of war, On 6th Apr. 2024, our awaited son, Abdullah, was born.

Our little prince "Abdullah" was born without any of essentials of newborn life (milk, diapers, own bed, toys, health care). Abdullah brought joy and happiness to our hearts despite what we are going through, The joy was mixed with great anxiety due to the unavailability of proper medical care.

The pressures and burdens increased, we decided to turn to the GoFundMe platform seeking help from kind-hearted people. The goal of the fundraising campaign is to provide for the needs of little prince Abdullah and secure temporary shelter for my family, in addition to helping build our clinic to enable us to return to work and serve the community once again.

I genuinely don't know what to write anymore.

I would rack through my brain to see what can I write to make you understand that Eman Abdelrahman, @emiiii980, (#213) and her family are surviving a year long genocide. I mention over and over again that Sudan is not safe. It is extremely dangerous to the point where many displaced families are relocating south or neighbouring countries. We have lost the opportunity for Eman and her family to evacuate since the Sudanese pound has inflated. It is too expensive.

So she would stay back and wants to rebuild her home ASAP!

At the same time, the RSF increases their aggression and violence. Massacres after massacres. The most prominent incident would be the village of Sariha. Men have been are executed one by one. The women have committed suicide in response. More than 600 people have been martyred in a SINGLE day!

So I don't understand how you can turn a blind eye. How many more people have to die? How many villages will be wiped out? How many women have to subjected to sexual violence? A girl as young as 6 years old has been assaulted by the RSF!

Doesn't knowing this make you angry? Make your blood boil? How can such cruelty go on for so long? Then, stop looking away. Please help the Sudanese people. They need our help! One way to show your support is donating and sharing Eman's fundraiser.
