Petnames

Alexis just calls Hades "campfireman" because he has fire for hair and she likes it. She wants to warm her hands with it like a campfire. Or roast marshmallows over it because it would be funny. Problem is Hades is taller than her. She does not have the strength to climb him like a tree unless Rule of Funny lets her.

Hades: Come on, call me something other than Campfireman. Alexis: ... Hades: Maybe something like Hot Stuff or- Alexis: Babygirl. Hades: Yeah- NO!

In private, she sometimes calls Hades "babygirl". He doesn't know if it's meant in an affectionate way or a bad joke. It tortured him for a while until he got used to it.

Pain & Panic: Why does Alexis call you babygirl? Hades: How about we stop talking for a while?

Eventually Hades starts calling Alexis "babygirl". If she can call him babygirl, he can do the same. Hades does use other pet names like "my sweet" but he does that with others anyway. Trying to uno reverse card her doesn't work.

no but the thing is, when the hero falls in love with the villain she is falling in love with the darkest parts of herself. she is owning her shadow and the owning makes her stronger. it is not about whether a ship is toxic or romanticising abuse because it’s not about two individuals. the struggle is not one between two people, just like the love is not between two people. when the hero falls in love with the villain she is loving herself. when she loves herself she is stronger, better, able to transform darkness instead of running from it. at the moment of loving, a person changes. the loved changes. and the love of the villain changes the hero. it’s all about this, don’t you see?

Sleepover

If they haven't moved in together, it's a sleepover.

Why is Alexis sleeping over? Because Hades offered to let her stay the night over.

Why did Hades offer? Because of the weather.

So here they are, in the same bed together. It was her idea, not his. She insisted.

She rolls over.

Is he awake?

She scoots closer.

No reaction. Yep. Safe to say he's asleep.

It's nice and all here but... she can't sleep. She needs to be compressed and secured under the blanket! It's too light! How does this guy sleep?

She drapes an arm over his waist. She's not doing the other. She doesn't feel like losing an arm trying to spoon him.

She still can't sleep. Not only does she need to be compressed, she needs to go into one million sleeping positions. Even worse, her legs are restless.

She removes her arm and turns away. She lies on her back, back where she started. Even though her eyes are closed, she doesn't fall asleep.

She rolls onto one side. That doesn't help.

"Alright, that's it!" He turns onto his side and brings his arms around her, pulling her close. "You were moving too much."

She presses her head into his chest.

"At this rate, neither of us are getting any sleep." He holds her tighter. She does the same, pressing onto him even more.

"More weight."

Sure. He can do that.

Hades picks her up. He conjures a blanket and wraps it around her, swaddling her. He sets her back down and goes back to holding her.

She pokes the blanket. This is good. Her forehead brushes against him.

"If you wanted to be big spoon," she remarks, "you could've just said."

"What's that? I can't hear you over the sound of sleeping."

Hades in Cursed Cafe and he runs a funeral home but noone books him cuz he keeps making inappropriate jokes thinking he’s funny

i don’t understand people who love a problematic character but get angry when people mention the evil things that character did. like, that’s your man! he’s proud he did all that, support his hobbies!
