How do I convince my baby barely two years old that there isn't enough food for him?
How do I explain that this is his portion, and there will be no more, no matter how hungry he is or how many tears he sheds?
I look into his little eyes, watch him reach out innocently for more and I stand there, helpless a mother with nothing but heartbreak to offer.
Every time I give him a small portion, it feels like I’m feeding him my pain before I feed him his meal.
What kind of mother is forced to teach her child that hunger is his fate?

I am a trans woman who is struggling financially and have barely been scraping by for the past 6 months. Today, my landlord said the rent is being raised and we will potentially be kicked out. I have nowhere else to go, I can't drive and do not have a car, there's no one who could take me in, and if I did somehow move somewhere I would have to start over jobhunting with nothing in my bank account and probably wouldn't even be able to pay first and last month's rent until after finding that new job.
I don't know what I'm supposed to do. I'm so scared. My paypal is petgirl69420. Please send what you can spare so maybe I can have something to help get into a new place or survive if things go bad. Please.

The anti-trans hysteria du jour on perfidious Albion is that a retail employee who was trans asked a mother and child shopping at her store if they needed any help
That’s it

This is basically where I'm at. Cheating can be abusive, but its not great for it to be viewed as a unilaterally despicable evil the way people often do because then people put bad one-time decisions or unhealthy ways of coping in a shitty relationship on the same level as intentional deceit and betrayal against a partner who loves you.
I considered cheating when I was in an abusive relationship, specifically because my partner, despite hiding me from everyone he possibly could, made a point that he wouldn't "share" me with others. The idea of stepping out felt like taking back ownership of myself. I never ended up doing it, but it wasn't just an out of the blue, selfish idea.
I have an acquaintance who's been in a pretty intensely abusive relationship for the past year and a half or so, and they live together. Her partner threatens suicide when she even suggests anything toward a breakup. So she recently started seeing someone else in secret, and a friend of mine who also knows her they suddenly find her disgusting and are talking about her like she's just as bad as her abusive partner and I just cannot get with that. Cheating is shitty but it's not inherently shittier than any other action that can be abusive. The details of each case determine that. I honestly think the only reason it gets to be treated like this uniquely evil action is just due to holdovers about monogamy as a moral obligation.
unwoke or whatever but I think cheating is abuse. human relationship are flexible and humans are perhaps not lifelong monogamists by nature but cheating in what was supposed to be a monogamous relationship is a breach of trust and often a deep wound inflicted on your partner. I’m not one of those freaks who thinks ‘cheating should be illegal’ or whatever but I really do not empathize with cheaters. even if your relationship is in shambles, end it cleanly before you start fucking someone else. bringing a third party in is a great way to make things much worse, much more vitriolic and much more complicated.

Pay attention to the particulars of Mastercard's responses, because this a textbook example of how to create plausible deniability.
"Mastercard has not barred any legal transaction" is, technically, a true statement – because Mastercard is not the one processing the transactions in the first place. Mastercard does not deal directly with any merchant, and in fact typically refuses to communicate with merchants at all; there's always a payment processing service sitting in between Mastercard and the merchant, whether that's Stripe or Paypal or any of dozens of other service providers.
Consequently, there are two layers of service agreements in place: the agreement between Mastercard and the payment processing service, and the agreement between the payment processing service and the merchant. That second layer of service agreements, between the payment processing service and the merchant, is where all of these content restrictions are being imposed. Mastercard can thus truthfully claim that they aren't barring legal transactions.
Now, if you've been paying attention, you've probably already spotted the issue: if the content restrictions are being imposed upon the merchants by individual payment processing services and not by Mastercard, why do all of those payment processing services seem to have exactly the same content restrictions?
That's where the critical sleight of hand comes in: while Mastercard's own terms of service do not require payment processing services to bar transactions of particular types, their ToS does require payment processors to bar transactions which could be damaging to the Mastercard brand. What constitutes damage to the Mastercard brand is not defined; it means whatever Mastercard wants it to mean. The payment processing services are thus in a position where they can be held in breach of Mastercard's terms of service for basically any reason, which gives them a strong incentive not to test any boundaries.
And that's why Mastercard can truthfully say they have never barred any legal transaction: they're never the ones doing the blocking. The layer of payment processing services that sits between Mastercard and the merchants are enforcing those content restrictions, based on a series of unwritten handshake agreements between the payment processors and Mastercard regarding what does and does not constitute acceptable content – and because the particulars of those handshake agreements aren't in writing, Mastercard can assert that their terms of service do not compel payment processing services to bar any legal transaction and technically be telling the truth.

Okay, english is not my first language so this might be a matter of communication issues: when I say "children are not directly and instantly traumatised by the sight of a natural naked human body", I mean the bodies of living people. Seeing a corpse in some state of decomposition, without being properly introduced to the idea beforehand within clearly defined boundaries is obviously traumatising to a child, regardless of whether the cadaver is clothed or not.
What I am talking about is children seeing people they know in various states of undress in normal home context. But in case you really are claiming that children are by default scarred for life at the sight of people with no clothes on, you guys are just weird.

tumblr staff doesn’t want you to know this, but a great way to treat small amounts of granulation tissue to prevent it from becoming hypergranulation inside the canal of your neovagina is to make a hypersaline solution (more in tense version of regular saline) and soak a tampon in it, and then insert that tampon into your vaginal canal

Every day I am overwhelmed by the way almost everyone in the global north redefines health away from collective survival and toward promotion of individualism and eugenics.
People will talk about "hygiene" and they mean extensive skin care routines and cosmetics instead of preventing the spread of contagious diseases through requiring structural renovations for better ventilation of workplaces, schools, & public spaces and universal healthcare that includes easy, accessible, free testing & vaccinations.
People will talk about "nutrition" and they mean promoting expensive, restrictive diets dependent on imperial food systems and the promotion of anti-fat and anti-black policies, instead of doing anything to prevent the widespread nutrient deficiencies caused by our government's deliberate, ongoing starvation of Palestinian people.

no reddit bro "if the korean war was a genocide then the bombings of germany and japan also were!!". i dont think you really see entire generations ending in family trees in germany in most cases. or residential centres being destroyed to completion. or anything between 15 and 25% of the entire population dying in around 2-3 years. or dams being destroyed specifically to cause mass floodings, destruction of rice fields and rupture of agriculture and the complete destruction of the electrical grid of the country - all of that leading to millions in risk of starvation. or military pilots shooting peasants in fields due to their lack of actual targets following mass destruction, also using this situation as a way to "amuse themselves".
if you are going to compare the absolute annihilation causes by the US in korea with the bombings of germany, then you are not only a genocide denier, but also manufacturing consent for the neonazi idea that the allies commited a genocide in nazi germany. and you should die
