Good News! if you see this post you have been given one (1) free pass to make that weird art you've been wanting to make but have been too nervous or scared to do! Whatever it may be! If you aren't sure if you want to, just try it! If it doesn't feel good to do, then stop!
And feel free to pass this on! We should all make the weird art our hearts want to see!

still remembering how to shade skin on here. i decided not to be a wuss and draw it in color instead of b&w and it's going to take *forever*

Ahsoka was originally supposed to wear a knee-length pleated skirt and a tank top at the beginning of TCW. Her original design is so cute, she looks like a ballerina, which fits her graceful and acrobatic fighting style. Running around in a tube top and mini skirt (aka Bikini Armor) while all the male Jedi are covered up from neck to toe is jarring aesthetically and definitely A Choice, and I think somebody must have realized just how silly this is because she got more normal clothes in the later seasons.
So I drew my own version of what I think Ahsoka would wear on missions/during battles during seasons 1-2.
Wrap detail (to reference Jedi robes and match Anakin)
Pleated, circular skirt from original design (cute and functional)
No sleeves, to show off her gloves
Togruta sash
'Sock' boots (for better mobility)

(mixed media: watercolor pencils, black watercolor paint, a white Pilot pen and a grease marker)
I bought some Caran d'Ache watercolor pencils this weekend to see what all the hype was about (hype well deserved). Since these pencils are so amazing I wanted to create something with a lot of shadow, dark and light (I'm still afraid of color) and I was inspired by the Jungkook Calvin Klein photoshoot of course (even though I hate drawing the wrinkles/folds on clothes)! I forgot how hard it is to make very dark and light colors with pencil, so I tried to build intensity with black watercolor. The colors look much more intense in person :( It's not the best likeness, I think maybe the eyes are not right... but it was fun!
