Sibelius part one

I've had this idea in my head for a long time and I thought I'd finally grab a pen and get to work. This is the first part, the second part I'm still working on.

I got the idea while wondering what the post-apocalyptic Helsinki would look like in the SSSS universe. I was looking at old photos from class trips when I saw a picture of the Sibelius statue and immediately knew it would be the center of this comic. How exactly? You'll find out soon, hehe~

Why is Lalli so worried? Psh, it's probably nothing, right?

I agree with you about how Stand Still Stay Silent can be inspiring. Without trying to copy on purpose, I think that the comic is easy to be used as reference book, because the characters and their postures are both expressive and clear without being cartoony. And after all, no one can create from nothing: we, as artists, are always the sum of our predecessors' work.

If Stand Still Stay Silent gave you the inspiration to create your own comic and to share it with us, then it's an excellent thing. Personallly, I really like your story and art and the fact it had some common traits with Minna's art made me love it even more, because I thought : "Oh, it's like something I know, it must be a good story!"

I wasn't here at the end of the comic and didn't live its last moments like some of you, but I still love it for its story and the fandom around it. I'm somehow grateful for the good moments I had with everyone, I never had that much fun on the web before ^^)

Finally picked back up Stand Still Stay Silent. u_u Been so long since I last read it that I can't remember the pagenumber, but I'll recognise the scene as soon as it comes. Lalli was tossing soup. I have a bit of a difficult history with that comic. Nothing to do with Hummingfluff/Minna or the comic, it's silly really. I took (still take) a lot of inspiration from the art and how it works, because imo t's brilliantly done. That inspiration has always been plain in my artwork. However that got me some feedback telling me how I'm copying, and that I should take a break(??) and find my own voice as an artist. <- This is a valuable feedback, trust me: I'd like my art to look like it's mine, but taking a break is a shit way to do anything. So I stopped reading the comic. I wanted the abundance of influence in my artwork to wash down some. It became this spooky thing in my cupboards. But I'm finally letting it out in the sunlight and let it shrink. I think I'm ok to take a peek at it again...? :> The art still inspires me and I immensely enjoy looking at it. I know the comic ended good time ago and have a vague understanding why, but I don't think it takes away from SSSS in itself? I don't think? I share this vent not because it's important to the world, but to me it is. It messed with me for a few good years.

Gimme characters to draw!

I've fallen in love with this new pencil I found in FireAlpaca and I'd love to sketch some characters but my head is empty.

Please, give me suggestions! They can be anything from cartoons, games, anime, comics etc. Even your OCs are fine, as long as you provide a bit of context about their personality and a ref image or two~
