I’m not sure if I miss you, or if I miss the person I romantically exaggerated you to be.

You were already poetry, I simply painted you into words beyond expression and gave you more beauty than meets the eye.

The artist needs a muse. The muse will be beautiful if seen as art or merely existing.

I dont think I’ll ever stop loving you tbh

The worst part is I think I still love you.

I mean I love my best friends, I love flowers and art- but I really love you.

I get butterflies seeing your face in pictures and I know you don’t feel the same, I’ve been doing fine this week barely thinking of you and moving on but god-

You message again and I crumble back into wishing I was on your bed kissing your face again.

I know we won’t last. I know we’re not the same. There’s plenty of differences and needs going unmet on both sides-

So what is wrong with these dumb emotions still enraptured by you in all your flaws.

I guess once I find love in someone, I can’t unsee it permanently. There will always be part of me who wishes for more of you.
