I might be taking a mini hiatus, partly because I’m burnt out from college😅

But I’m also feeling less and less enthusiastic about the Sims 4 community lately (aside from the wonderful friends I’ve made here).

I think the main thing discouraging me is CC. Everything seems to be early access now. Even free creators I loved and supported for years are now paywalling CC. I remember downloading CC from amazing, talented creators and giving them tips for support in ko-fi, which is what a lot of creators seemed to be doing back then. Now it seems like many creators make CC for the money, not because they love the game and the community. It’s just kind of disheartening to see creators turning into mini versions of EA (especially pixelvibes with their literal store where you pay for singular items). 😕

Another thing is the rudeness of the community, especially if you don’t play the game the way they want you to. The amount of rude messages about how I overdo it with my reshade are ridiculous. I like the way it looks, so how about you screw off and find a simmer who doesn’t use reshade? Also this anon I got about posting sim spice. “I’m a minor and you shouldn’t be posting nsfw stuff.” First of all, it’s not like I’m showing everything in those pics. Second, they’re always tagged nsfw and sim spice. And finally, you’re a child and shouldn’t even be on tumblr in the first fucking place!! Focus on middle school! I am an ADULT and I’m going to post ADULT gameplay. I literally say this in my pinned post, no excuse to not read it.

And then there’s the game itself, which is just so buggy for me right now it’s crazy. No further explanation needed, EA doesn’t care about TS4 or us players. Has weather inside houses even been fixed yet? What about the eyelid glitch that makes me not even want to pose my sims anymore?🥴

Anyway I’ll be taking a little break. I’ve been playing Sims 3 again and I’ve really, really been enjoying it. I have a simblr for TS3 where I’ll post gameplay, so if you’re interested, it’s called @luckypalmz. But I’ll be back, mostly because I love the Berrys too much to quit. Probably in May after I graduate.🤷‍♀️
