Hyrule Restoration Festival
This is a festival that commemorates the day Link defeated Ganon.
People who participate in the festival are permitted to wear the blue of the royal family, and Castle Town is draped in blue cloth.
The Great Deku Tree celebrates by showering the city in cherry blossom petals.
Impa's Expedition Team
After leaving Kakariko Village in Paya's care, Impa sets off on a journey to investigate various locations in Hyrule. She's accompanied by her attendant Cado and Purah's apprentice Josha. She wears bells on her clothing like a member of a university hiking club.
[ Note: In Japanese, Cado's name is "Avocado," and Josha's name was apparently going to be "Banana." ]

tysm for tagging me in this moot!! i absolutely agree with EVERYTHING here... as much as i love totk i'm also critiquing totk often 😭😭
my thoughts on everything:
1. I REALLY thought they were gonna rebuild hyrule castle town... but they didn't. if people in hyrule managed to build a brand new area called lookout landing, then why not the town??
2. a mini celebration would actually feel great, since there's no way link traveled all across hyrule again and not receive people celebrating that he saved hyrule... (again) it could literally just be a mini cutscene at the end of the game similar to how the zora were celebrating link after saving vah ruta in botw.
3. it would be nice if more towns were built!! after seeing how there’s much more people in hyrule traveling, it would definitely make sense if there were more towns spread out, it would make it feel more lively, and since totk is not botw where it’s supposed to be ‘empty’, there should be more towns.
4. i agree with this!! it sorta did elaborate with this in the point above, it would make totk feel more active in a way.
5. agree with this heavily!! totk is a hyrule where there’s no more guardians, and the game showed us that there’s more travelers since there’s no more guardians or calamity ganon (well there’s ganondorf but anyways..) and there’s people actively fighting monsters and trying to protect hyrule.
6. THIS. my biggest annoyance with totk?? where the heck did the sheikah tech GO. i don’t care if the guardians don’t attack anymore, i would be happy if at the very least there’s a few guardians that just at least show that totk is a sequel to botw. i don’t care if the divine beasts are just there and do nothing, just at least some mention or something of the sheikah tech.
7. the sage powers are imo, only downgrade from the champion powers.. the other power i mainly used was tulins. rijus lighting is useful, but it was always a pain trying to activate her because she’s smaller then everyone. i never used sidons. i occasionally used yunobo for farming ore, but that’s it. i don’t have an opinion on mineru, i barely used her. the champion abilites though were really useful. playing totk, i really miss revalis gale, and i miss miphas grace!! (even though miphas ability is just a fairy with more hearts, it really got me through the beginning of the game.) i didn’t use urbosa that much but she was really helpful, and daruks protection really saved me on close calls when i accidentally missed a guardians parry. mosh of the sages powers are only used for their special main quest, but that’s it. they do have some of their uses in the game, however.
8. that would be a good feature that would make the world feel more active and alive!! just little silly things that aren’t practical, but there just for fun.
9. THE TRAVELING ARTIST SHEIKAH GUY!! i don’t know if he’s on totk anymore. letting him have his on little art studio would be a fun detail that totk is a botw sequel.
10. we got a lot of quality of life changes in totk, i’m surprised that wasn’t added in totk. (i didn’t really upgrade my armor) that would be a useful feature
11. that’s such a tiny feature, but would cause such a difference!! i don’t have many things to comment on that, but i completely agree.
12. i agree with this too. my complaint with the zonai is that the entire game is mainly based off of them, and we only really got zonai tech, and only a few zonai clothes. if the zonai are so important, then why did we only get to see how they were so high tech, and we didn’t learn about their culture or more outfits based on how they dressed?
13. I AGREE WITH THIS. i’m not gonna go make a full explanation since i already have written something similar on my account, but more people should at LEAST know link.
14. that’s a such a small detail too, but would also be a cool feature of zelda had mini dragon features!
15. I don’t really have an opinion on this, since I never really did pay much attention to horses. but sure, why not!!
16. exactly!! i sometimes wonder how people in hyrule get all their news. I get that there’s that mini newspaper thing in some of the stables, but how does everyone in hyrule manage to keep up with the news, especially with the fact that there’s monsters and traveling to different regions (if you're not a rito) probably takes days.
17. THIS. Similarly to the link thing, i did make an entire post about this issue, but a little memorial to the champions would be amazing. the only one that really got one was mipha, but that was really a no brainer since the zora absolutely loved her.
18. ALSO THIS!! i did talk about this before, but I really wished the divine beats were still there. they don’t even have to be there, just at least some sort of mention that they existed??
19. i agree with this. the main area where i saw the silent princesses growing was where the final memory in totk was, but that’s sorta of it. flower symbolism in special, sacred areas is clever.
20. another little detail, yet still makes a difference!
21. TARURU!! i swear he only was important in the mineru quest, but then he was pushed aside. it felt like he was just some plot device. it would be really nice to have him have more purpose.
22. Link having more emotions would be incredible. It dosen’t have to be a crazy change, but this link isn’t the same from botw! he has people who actually know him, and he isn’t awakening from a 100 year slumber. link belong more emotionless in botw made sense because he lost practically everything and dosen’t know who he is anymore. in totk, he is supposed to be less lonely because of his sage friends.
23. Still don’t get why we only have dogs.
24. Where are the cats anyways??
25. That would be such an awesome idea. I never thought of doing something like that, but clearing hyrule out and making it into more towns would be so fun!! Considering it feels like we don’t have enough towns in hyrule…
Anyways, that’s it!! I’ve never written this for this blog before, it’s actually crazy.
Feel free to disagree with me, i like listening to other peoples perspectives on totk anyways.
If your actually read this all… applause to you.
Things I wish they added in totk
Have castle town rebuilt, and have that concept festival celebrating link defeating calamity ganon
Have more towns built, and maybe have link build some of them. Maybe save some of them from monster raids
More people!!! Doesn't have to be interactable!!!
More travelers, like a lot
Leave the sheikah tech in place, like guardians. Can dismiss the shrines/towers, as they were only for the use of link and can vanish now that they are not needed
Work on sage powers.... they are lacking and almost inconvenient
More special location areas, like orchards, large gardens, clothing stores, goofy accessory stores, sheikah weapon store, game parks, arrow games, bomb games, parry games
Let that traveling skeikah art guy have a house with an art studio!!!
Be able to enhance more than one clothing at once from the great fairy
Change the enviroment/fauna/flora of the depths and sky islands to reflect which region they are on the overworld map
More zonai outfits!!!or zonai versions of prev outfits
Everyone knows link.
Zelda has dragon features after transforming back to human
More horse types/coats
Mail????? Do they not have mail there
Major cities have dedications to the champions of calamity ie statues
The divine beasts are still there, maybe in disuse and out of the way
More silent princesses everywhere, growing abundantly in hyrulean sacred areas, with the sundandalion growing in zonai sacred areas. Both are grown in shared sacred areas
Link has scars from where raurus arm was connected to him/patterning
Tauru zonai research guy has a purpose and lore
Give link more emotions. He is not the emotionless teen from 107 years ago.
Pet. Animals. Not negotable.
Cats??? Where are the cats
Permanently retake some of the more memorable locations from monsters and make them villages, like akkala citadel, lanayru promenade, fort hateno, deya village ruins, sage temple ruins, lanayru wetlands, etc...

lmao we’re the exact opposites, i found thunderblight ganon easy to kill
i having something to admit
i never really finished totk!
but yesterday i just finished the game. and wow.
i took a mini break when i was doing the spirit temple, because that temple bored me out. i did finish it though eventually.
after speaking to purah and her telling me to go beat up ganondorf, i was more then ready. if i beat up calamity ganon in botw, can’t be too hard in totk, right?
after that, i quickly got ‘enough’ food and went in super confident. yeah! i can do this, ganondorf can’t be THAT hard? right?
i underprepared and greatly underestimated him.
and… he beat my ass 3 times!
the journey to get to ganondorf was really cool. when i was at the point where the game told me i couldn’t use my sages because i was too far in the depths, that scared me for a moment. the dive down was super cool too.
the first time, he started beating me up around phase 2. after losing, i completely forgot i could use a travel medallion to save my spot. anyways, i cooked some more food.
the second time, i made it to phase 3!! but then i was absolutely flabbergasted when this guy started flurry rushing MY flurry rushes. like what?? then he started destroying all my shields in 1 attack! then i died.
the third time was an okay try… i made it to phase 2 until one of the ganondorf copies killed me. oopsies.
the fourth try, i was super determined. i cooked more food (literally just cooked 1 dish using 5 sundelions) and i was more than ready.
i made it to phase 3 without using any of my dishes the phase before. and within a few seconds all of those dishes were gone.
now… it was just me on 1 heart left, but ganondorf too was close to being defeated.
who won?
ganondorf!
is what i would say if this post wasn’t about me beating totk.
link beat him up of course! by using a gibido bone with an arrow.
(oh and i admit i also suck at flurry rushing timings and i suck at parrying)
this fight was big step up from botw- i ACTUALLY had to get a strategy and prepare, where for calamity ganon, i got help from the champions and just went ‘attack and attack’ with the master sword.
i also loved the demon dragon fight, especially the ost. oh, and that part where the sky and moon turns red? absolutely gorgeous.
the ending was absolutely incredible and emotional, even though i was already spoiled for it.
oh and i find it so funny by how they make complete strip link of all his clothing, they probably saw link in the tinkle or ancient armor and said “never again.”
however…
i still prefer botw though, just personal preference. i could go on an entire ramble about this but i’ll save that for later.

Mentioned this yesterday but I got some pictures of it— the sacred ground ruins in botw have a triforce design in the center, and the courage portion is cracked.

currently listening to the totk main theme right now, so why not write some stuff about totk
i’ve always wondered…
what would’ve happened in totk if zelda stayed as an immortal dragon?
the games story really made it seem that becoming a dragon means that your completely throwing yourself away
even though zelda did come back as a human in the ending, totk would’ve been so different if zelda stayed as a dragon
links entire journey in totk was to save zelda, bring her back in 1 piece- only for her to be a dragon flying high in the sky. yeah, by this point he defeated ganondorf and hyrule’s well, but the princess is missing.
his goal, his motivation to explore hyrule once more for zelda; and now she’s gone. gone for good
but anyways, i’m happy with the current ending of tears of the kingdom, zelda’s deserved that happy conclusion. this was kinda just a random thought bubble that popped in my head.

Hi! You seem like a really cool blog and I too, adore TOTK and BOTW.
What are some of your main ships for it?
FIRST ASK ‼️‼️
anyways, aside from that, the main ship that i ship is zelink!! i love their dynamic so much! i could go on a whole ramble about zelink if i want, but i might save that for later and if people wanna hear me talk about it.
aside from that though, i don’t really have any other main ships i ship. i did ship sidlink for a moment in time but then i just stopped shipping it 😭

i always found it weird how so many npcs in totk don’t remember link.
yeah i know i’m not the first person who’s made a rant about this before, but this just really annoys me.
like, what do you mean you don’t remember link, the guy who sealed the calamity? the guy who sealed the 4 divine beasts threatening to destroy your home town?
link, the guy who went all across hyrule helping citizens, the guy who also built terry town? it just makes no sense that some npcs just refer to him as zelda’s knight and don’t know his name, or some just forgot him!!
also, consider this: if everyone remembers zelda, (who hasn’t been exploring hyrule as long as link ever since 100 years ago) then why don’t they remember link? i’m assuming link stayed by zelda’s side as zelda’s chosen protector during post botw to totk. it just dosent make sense.
and don’t get me started on how totk dosent even acknowledge that botw existed. yeah there is some little easter eggs/mini references to botw (like the divine beast helmets) but you know what imo is one of the biggest ‘fraud’ things of all?
how do people not remember the divine beats or sheikah tech at ALL????
this is something that really makes me confused. how in the hyrule does nobody remember those 4 big animal looking robots trying to destroy your land? how does nobody remember the scary creepy guardians scattered all across hyrule? oh, and what about the shrines and those humongous towers all across the land? absolutely nobody acknowledges these things!!
the champions!! practically everybody in botw remember urbosa, mipha, daruk, and revali. however in totk… it seems like they’re forgotten. mipha is out of the question though because she got an entire court built in her memory in totk, but that’s it. during my playthrough of totk, they DID make some references to the champions but it was small. really small. daruk was referenced in the yunobo quest, and his statue in the mountains is still there. urbosa got a mini mention in rijus diary, but that’s it. and now there’s revali. i don’t know if revali was mentioned at all…
in the end, totk itself is a really good game. personally, i don’t really like how the story was handled, this is just 1 aspect i didn’t like.

botw/totk thoughts at 1am? heck yeah!
thinking about silent princesses right now, the flower and the symbolism.
zelda’s favorite flower in the game is a silent princess, and i somewhat see some similarities with the flower and her.
first of, the name. “silent princess.” zelda does attempt to explain to her father that she’s trying to awaken the sheikah tech, but in the end, she always ends up being silenced. oh and zelda’s a princess. sounds familiar to a certain flower…
zelda mentions in one of the memories in botw that silent princesses can’t be grown domestically, and can only be found in the wild. this has some similarities to pre calamity zelda, as she is almost always out in the wild thriving, just like silent princesses. note that this is before the calamity.
during the events of botw, the in game description for silent princesses is:
“This lovely flower was said to have been a favorite of the princess of Hyrule. Once feared to have gone extinct, it's recently been spotted growing in the wild.”
it mentions that the flower was feared to have gone extinct, almost like how zelda would’ve lost her life. however, she didn’t as she awakened her powers which allows her to fight against ganon. almost like how silent princess are growing in the wild again. also, you know who else is in the wild now? link!
also, connecting silent princesses to link and zelda’s relationship. both of them share silence in a similar way. link is pretty self explanatory, he never talks in game. for zelda though, i did kinda explain her silence in botw with her father, but in totk, i think her silence has to do with her becoming an immortal dragon. being a dragon, she can’t speak at all, and she only ‘communicates’ with link with the dragon tears.
fun little detail; there’s a bunch of silent princesses after the final dragon tear!
anyways, thanks for listening to my totk/botw rambling session!

just some botw and totk thoughts about link at 12am in my time
thinking about link, imagine how he feels during totk. he first had to fight against monsters and these creepy spider looking things, with muscle memory from 100 years ago and not remembering a single thing. finally, after zelda, you would think that his life would be much better post calamity since he didn’t have to go nights without having to worry about the calamity. well, nintendo then released totk. in totk, link lost zelda. however, this all happened within his eyes- he could’ve saved zelda.
he didn’t even save her the first time, and now it happens again. he couldn’t save her, and he actually was capable of that. he is the knight, and she is the silent princess he sworn to protect.
something that i’ve always noticed is that in botw, the main quest is titled “destroy ganon,” while in totk, it’s “find princess zelda.” this really shows how much their relationship has changed from botw to totk. in botw, he's doing this because link has to. for his memories, for the sake of hyrule. he's hyrule's last hope.
in totk, its COMPLETELY different. he's exploring the sky, depths, regional phenomenons all for zelda. not to destroy ganondorf, not to retrieve the master sword, its all for zelda.
zelda thoughts at 12am sure go crazy.
