Two vast winged shapes guard a gate of something like resin, smooth but uneven. It is deep gant - the colour that remains when all other colours have been eaten. Ice crusts over the crack between its valves. Approach, and your breath freezes, falls tinkling in shards from the air.

Some aesthetics/moodboards for some of my most favorite places in Sunless Sea, which is one of my all-time favorite games! I worked really hard on these suckers. Hope everyone likes them! …I’m uncertain what this is, but I feel that it goes here.  I awoke to find it on my easel, sometime after the gas lamps had come up for the morning.  My fingers ache, and I find a singular thought repeating in my mind. Also, if you’ll excuse me, I believe I need to visit the shoppe.  My encaustics and a few other things appear to be missing. (Happy 7/7/17 everyone.)
