I deleted my first reblog of this as I noticed after that you seem to be saying in the replies that you are ignorant to the workings of tumblr.

So instead:

1. As others have said, dropping hate of a ship or fandom in that tag is bad form and seen as wanting to engage in a fight. I as a person with limited patience for fandom policing like to make people regret that choice. But since you say you did it unintentionally I will move on in this case.

2. RadioApple-Reblogs has a tutorial in their pinned message on how to filter out RadioApple. You can find it here. It will also work for any other tag you don't want to see.

3. For future reference, if you come out swinging (even accidentally), and someone swings back, trying to act like you weren't swinging is a great way to make sure it stays a fight.

I'm so over all the raddioapple stuff on my feed. Idk why it is so popular, it makes no sense and it's everywhere.

1) the only thing they've ever canonically done is fight. There is literally no connection besides their fighting over Charlie. (Which Alastor definitely has sinister alterior motives for doing)

2) Lucifer is married to and HEAD OVER HEELS for lilith. Her leaving literally sent him into a depressive spiral. Man's is the definition of devotion.

3) Aro-ace rep. Why does everyone always go after other people's representation? Alastor has never shown romantic intentions towards literally ANYONE and has shown multiple instances of being touch/sex repulsed. So, WHY DOES NSFW ALASTOR ART EXIST. I get that being asexual doesn't mean they can't have sex, but in this instance, it does.

Alastor x anyone makes zero sense to me and feels like people just think he's creepy and hot. Which is kinda stupid, like his haircut. Also, he is literally a serial killer and cannibal. He is psycho. There's plenty of other hot characters you can drool over. Who aren't Aro-ace rep.

Look, I’m not saying it should or shouldn’t be canon because frankly it makes no difference to me.

But RadioApple has been the first ship I’ve ever seen or gotten to experience where aspec folks have gotten to experiment with the entire breadth of the aspec experience in fanfic and fanart. And yes sometimes that includes smut.

The last thing we need is allo people swanning in and using us as an excuse to have a stupid fandom war. If you hate the ship, then hate it I guess, whatever makes you happy. But stop using us as the excuse to do so please and thank you.

The autumn breeze that swept through the forest clearing smelled like pine and freshly fallen rains.

Were it not for the spray-painted occult symbols and the horde of whispering panicked teenagers wearing bed sheets as cloaks, Alastor might have thought he'd somehow ascended to heaven. But between the teenagers and the spray-painted circle, he seemed to be stuck inside of; it wasn't particularly difficult to put two and two together and realize that somehow he was on Earth.

I will say the way Rosie calls him ace heavily implies he’s also aro, I think denying that is probably very silly.

That being said, the whole thing of fanfics and fanart is that it doesn’t actually have to adhere to canon. That’s more or less the point really. Even if it’s sexual or romantic, it’s just fanworks.

A lot of aspec people are using RadioApple (and probably other Alastor ships) to look at their own feelings on sex and sexuality and romanticism.

Being ace doesn’t necessarily mean you don’t have sex; and being ace doesn’t automatically mean sex-repulsed. Narrowing ones entire definition of asexual to sex-repulsed asexuals is reductive, we’re not a monolith.

If folks go check the polls for RadioApple, you’ll see most of us identify as aspec, in fact most of us are somewhere on the asexual spectrum.

No one reasonable is expecting the show to make RadioApple canon. I personally would hate if it was canon.

But I love all the non-canon fics and fan art, I love that Alastor has given aspec folks, especially asexual spectrum folks, an avenue for us to explore ourselves and our own views on things.

There is a whole range of ways you can be asexual, or aromantic, or both, and if people can’t respect that, they don’t actually give a damn about aspec people.

If anyone reading this didn’t realize asexual doesn’t automatically mean sex-repulsed, I highly recommend doing some reading.

Additionally, to reiterate the OPs main point here: There is no excuse ever to send death threats to someone over a work of fiction, grow the fuck up, it isn’t real. I don’t care what they have Alastor doing, it’s fiction. Don’t like it, don’t read it, don’t look at it. Filtering on most websites is remarkably easy.

But hey, if folks out there really want to target someone over RadioApple fanworks or shipping Alastor. Please do come at me with your best, I’m right here, my asks are open, let’s make it public and showy!

It sounds like it’ll be very funny for me. Probably less so for those who are “big mad” as the kids say over shipping Alastor, but hey, I’m not going to tell you how to spend your energy.
