I refuse to believe that the Nobi parents are perfectly normal people. Perfectly normal people don’t raise children who get into world ending shenanigans monthly.

Instead I propose that Nobita’s parents are just the exact same brand of crazy that he it

Meaning that if left to their own devices without interruptions they will be regular people, maybe getting into a fistfight with a raccoon once in while but ultimately just an average somebody you see on the street

But when forced into a situation outside of their comfort zone they will react in a way that is absolutely insane.

Nobita’s dad missed the train that one time and is now an unofficial prince of a small nation

His mom got separated on a school trip to Kyoto and took down 7 gangs

The only reason Nobita seems more strange that both of them is because his horrible luck throws him out of his comfort zone more often that not
