Education
Eyyy, this is the ONLY expenses thatās over budgeted! So proud of myself! This is for the school fees by the way, unavoidable.
Necessities
Although itās not over budget, but itās 28.03% higher than last month. I think thatās the main reason for the negative savings. Spent those money on my new spectacles as my astigmatism has gotten so bad that I canāt really see clearly anymore. Other than that, most of the money has gone to the hair care products that I bought from Atomy, because I have hair loss and hair dryness problems. Quite cheap though, if you compare to other branded hair care products.

IMPROVEMENT, YESHHH. Iām quite surprised that I didnāt overspend though, I thought all my money would be used up in my 3rd anniversary with Jeremiah. By the way, I wrote about how our anniversary went here, quite different from what I expectedā¦
Give
Most of the money went to the anniversary present that I gave to Jeremiah, which is half of the price of the gundam. We got the 1/100 sized gundam so itās slightly more expensive compare to the smaller one, but itās okay, I like it big anyway.

Happy 3rd anniversary to Jeremiah & me!!!
I know we just celebrated 1000th Days on February, so we really shouldnāt celebrate our anniversary because weāre both poor and have a tight budget.
But NOPE, me, being extra as usual, demanded for an anniversary celebration, and with some pretty romantic expectations in mind. I call them āexpectationsā, because really, I think itās viable.
Expectations
On this special day, Iāll wake up to the smell of my favorite matcha and tiramisu cake. Urged by curiosity and hunger, Iāll follow the smell and found Jeremiah waiting for me at the dining table.
āGood morning. Happy Anniversary, babe.ā Heād say, with a charming smile on his face.
āHow did you get in my house?ā Iād ask, feeling puzzled and surprised. Instead of answering me, he would invite me to take a seat and weāll have breakfast together.
After that, weāll go and visit the aquarium. Iāll be super excited and sort of wander around while Jeremiah follows behind me. Then, Iāll see something super fascinating and just run there and leave Jeremiah behind. When he finally catch up, heāll see me staring at something. Heāll look towards the direction Iām looking, and thenā¦
THIS.
Ah so SWEET!!!
Anyways, after our aquarium date, weāll go to the supermarket together and buy ingredients for our homemade steamboat dinner at my house. After dinner, weāll go up to the sky garden of my condo and just lie down, relax, look at the stars and have a heart-to-heart deep talk session. After that, Iāll walk him to the MRT station, kiss him goodbye and end the day.
See? Itās a viable and affordable plan, not difficult at all. However, what ACTUALLY happened wasā¦
Reality
We found a gundam shop few days before our anniversary and checked it out since Jeremiah loves gundam. He was thinking of buying one to build, and I wanted to try building one too, so we decided to buy a gundam of my choice and build it together in memory of our anniversary. And so we spent our days building the gundam. We finished building the gundam just in time before our anniversary day. I suggested to name it the Love Warrior, since I wanted it to protect our love; But Jeremiah said that itās too cheesy, naming it as the 3rd Anniversary Gundam is good enough. Hmm, and here I thought art students are supposed to be creativeā¦
Therefore, I have now decided without his consent, that we shall call our gundam ā3rd Anniversary Love Warriorā! Hereās how it looks like:
On our anniversary day, I woke up to the ringing of my phone. Itās the alarm. Jeremiah was still sleeping so I had to wake him up. We went to Sunway Pyramid to have brunch at a dessert shop because I wanted tiramisu cake. We ended up eating matcha tiramisu cake though. Itās not matcha flavored with tiramisu texture; Itās matcha AND coffee flavored with the tiramisu texture. I must say, matcha and coffee is NOT a good combination.
Anyways, after the brunch, we played a few rounds of a chinese MOBA game because Jeremiah is craving for games, as usual. Then, we bought my favorite matcha cheese. This time, we bought from Gong Cha and Tokyo Secret, since they are both on promotion. By the way, I wrote a review on these two oulets, You can read it here.
Moving on, we watched Deadpool 2. No aquarium date, because, well, Deadpool priorities? Damn it Deadpool, you just HAVE TO be released on our anniversary day.
The movie was good though, at least I really enjoyed it. The best thing is, itās FULLY UNCENSORED.
For dinner, we had steamboat in one of the restaurants in the mall. We didnāt get to have the homemade steamboat that I expected because we donāt have enough time. All that time went to searching for shops that sell couple tees, but unfortunately, thereās literally only ONE shop that sells couple tees in the mall and we only liked ONE pair of couple tees (the others are too cheesy and they just make us cringe). So really, itās kinda different from what I imagined. We didnāt even get to try out different kind of clothes, but at least we got to laugh at all the cheesy lines used on the other couple tees.
After the dinner, we part our ways and end the day.
Conclusion
I would say that this anniversary is more of a Jeremiahās kind of anniversary since itās mostly about gundam, games, and Superhero movies. Donāt get me wrong, I love superhero movies too, but I prefer superhero movies on a non-romantic day.
Nevertheless, Iām happy with how our anniversary went, although itās more of a comedic day rather than a romantic one. One thing that made this anniversary really special and different from all our previous ones is probably the fact that we did something that HE loves, which is building a gundam. Gundam was never my thing to be honest, but seeing Jeremiah getting excited over gundam all the time makes me want to at least experience what he experienced for once instead of just shutting out his interest.
Lastly, I would like to sayā¦ Seems like one of my fantasies from my 1000th Days post has come trueā¦
Expectations vs Reality of our 3rdĀ Anniversary Happy 3rd anniversary to Jeremiah & me!!! I know we just celebrated 1000th Days on February, so we really shouldn't celebrate our anniversary because we're both poor and have a tight budget.

Recently, Iāve been wondering, who brought matcha cheese into Malaysia? That person is such a genius because obviously it has become a trend nowadays and also, matcha+cheese? Thatās like a great combo. Itās like a combo of rainbow+unicorn, just wonderful.
Except rainbow unicorn is kinda cringyā¦? And matcha cheese is not.
Anyways, I did a research and found out that, the first cheese tea is brought into Malaysia by Royaltea, based in Johor (update: I just realized thereās Royaltea in Sri Petaling, shall try some day). However, the inventor of cheese tea has come out of Royaltea and formed his own shop called HeyTea, which you can find in MesaMall of Negeri Sembilan. As a fan of Matcha Cheese, of course I would want to taste the so called āoriginal Matcha Cheeseā, but I aināt no madman yo. I live in KL dude, I aināt gonna travel so far just for a cup of tea.
So I researched further and found the first cheese tea shop in KL, Gong Cha. Luckily, Gong Cha and Tokyo Secret are both in the mall that Jeremiah and I usually hang out at, and I just so want to talk about my Top 2 Matcha Cheese ā Tokyo Secret. Let our Matcha Cheese Battle begin!
As usual, Iāll be ranking the two outlets based on: Presentation, Cheese, Matcha, Price/Payment and Services.
Presentation
Gong Cha Signature Matcha Red Bean
Tokyo Secret Cheese Crema Japanese Matcha
This time, Iām not going to judge their presentation. As you can see, the two drinks are quite different. Although I ordered correctly for the signature matcha red bean (which is the milk foam tea, AKA cheese tea), the texture of the ācheeseā is so different that we wonāt need to drink it by tilting the cup to 45Ā°. So yeah, incomparable.
Cheese
Well, I definitely think Tokyo Secret did better, since the cheese is thicker and creamier. Gong Chaās ācheeseā is just milk, at least thatās what I feel. Itās 100% liquid, not creamy AT ALL. I donāt know man, is it because of the overwhelming sales from anniversary promotion that caused their cheese to be like that? Or is this really the ancestor of cheese tea in KL?
Matcha
Tokyo Secret wins again. Just look at the photos taken. You can already tell that Tokyo Secret has better matcha just by looking at the color of the matcha. Tokyo Secretās matcha is so rich that I have to say, it even surpasses Chizuās matcha. Gong Cha on the other hand, has VERY diluted matcha. I know that I ordered Matcha Red Bean, but dude, I feel like Iām drinking a very odd-tasting red bean milkshake. BUT MATCHA AND RED BEAN ARE SUPPOSED TO BE A PERFECT MATCH! Just how did they mess up the ratio so bad that matcha and red bean would taste weird together?!
Service
Tokyo Secretās staffs are more friendly. They smile, they greet, they say āthank youā. Gong Cha on the other hand is moreā¦in a rush? I can understand why though, so I donāt blame nor do I mind. Itās all because of the overwhelming crowd of customers that the staffs have to handle. They have to take orders, make the drinks, call out customersā numbers so that they can come to the counter to take their drinks. Sometimes it can be very frustrating, especially when the customers are not cooperating. However, I hope that the staffs are actually nice and friendly on normal days though, or else this is really some terrible service.
Price/Payment
Actually, both Gong Cha and Tokyo Secretās Matcha Cheese are of the same price, that is RM11. However, since both outlets are having a promotion this month (May 2018), Iād quote the promotion prices too.
The promotion for Gong Cha is, within the period of 1/5/2018-31/5/2018, all regular drinks will be charged at RM5 on every Friday. Large drinks will be charged at RM6. VERY cheap for a cup of tea.
Tokyo Secret on the other hand, is that the drinks of the day will be charged at RM1 upon a purchase of any drinks on the menu. For example, the drink of the day for Friday is Matcha Cheese. If I buy 2 matcha cheese, it would cost me RM12 (RM11+RM1). If I buy 1 other drink+the drink of the day, Iāll just have to pay for the other drink and add RM1 for the drink of the day. Basically, you can get as cheap as RM7.50 and as expensive as RM12 for 2 drinks, which translate to a range of RM3.75-RM6 per cup of Matcha Cheese.
Payment wise, youāll be able to buy any Gong Cha Signature Drinks (AKA the milk foam/cheese drink) with 900 Grab points. I didnāt find Tokyo Secret in any of the food deals app, so I assume that they have not partnered up with any apps yet. If anyone knows otherwise, please do tell.
Conclusions
I think the answer is quite obvious, but letās act like itās not so itās more exciting. The winner of this roundās Matcha Cheese Battle isā¦ Drum roll please!
Tokyo Secret! I donāt know whatās wrong with Gong Cha. Honestly, I had very high expectations of Gong Cha since it IS the FIRST cheese tea shop in KL. Iāve seen the advertisements of Gong Chaās Signature Drinks, they donāt look as bad as what Iāve ended up getting. I mean, at least the milk foams looks thick and creamy in the ads? So I actually got a shock when I see that my drink looks so different from what I imagined. Thatās still fine, I can let that pass, but I really couldnāt take the taste. It really tasted very odd, so odd that both me and Jeremiah couldnāt take it and had to throw it away. Iām still gonna give the shop another try after the promotion ends though, I donāt want to believe that the ancestor of cheese tea of KL is THAT bad.
Anyways, I still want to try Royaltea or HeyTea, hope they open an outlet in KL too! For those of you that are in Negeri Sembilan or Johor, do share your experience in these outlets! Iām really curious how the ORIGINAL tastes like! Is it better or worse? Have the newbies surpassed the ancestors?

Sales
Best seller of the month is the Botanical Effects Skincare Set (BE set), which includes: Cleanser, Freshen, Hydrate, and Mask. This set of product is particularly popular this month is mainly due to the promotion of getting a free Satin Lips Shea Sugar Scrub and a free Satin Lips Shea Butter Balm (Satin Lips set) upon every purchase of one BE set.
Whatās so special about the products Iāve mentioned? First of all, the BE set is a simple regimen infused with the goodness of botanicals that are personalized to your skin type to bring out skinās healthy radiance. The main ingredients, which are the botanical extracts derived from plants, flowers or fruits, are rich in elements like vitamins and minerals that are good for your skin.
The Satin Lips set on the other hand, is formulated with nourishing shea butter and the fresh flavor of white tea & citrus. Shea butter is extracted from the nut of the African Shea tree and has been used for centuries to protect, enrich, soften and hydrate skin. Shea butter is also known to contain omega-3s, recognized to help maintain skinās natural moisture barrier. This is why the Satin Lips set is able to leave dry, chapped lips behind, and deliver moisturizing bliss in just two easy steps.

Conclusion
First of all, LOL to that profit amount, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH, but thatās alright as long as thereās STILL profit I guess? Plus, my beloved sister is getting better thanks to Mary Kayās Satin Lips set (see here), so what more can I complain about, right?

Education
Remember I said I want to take up some classes in April? Well, I did! I took up the transformation class. It was really fun, and I learnt a lot of things like how to do my own hair and how to shape my eyebrows etc. Iād say itās worth it, although itās just a 2-day-class.
Necessities
Well, most of the overspent amount are attributable to my toiletries and skincare products that has just finished, so still acceptable I think.
Play
Againā¦But at least I improved by 10.65%?
Anyways, despite the overspending, Iāve joined lots of activities and events this month:
Powerpoint Workshop
This is a workshop organized by ACCA department of HELP College of Arts and Technology (HELP CAT in short). I had lots of fun because we had to make our own business proposal on powerpoint and present it to the class. Apparently, my friend and I got creative and made some pretty weird proposals like err, Oppai Merchandise and Single4Life.
Okay Mr. Hiddleston, weāll get help, from HELP, get it? HAHAHAHAHA.
Free Health Assessment
Apparently, according to the assessment, I need to decrease fats and increase muscles to achieve my ideal weight of 46.4kg. Other than that, I need to drink more water since I have low blood pressure and a high uric acid level in my blood.
Bonding Session with students from University of London (UOL)
Since the ACCA department is thinking of organizing more events together with UOL, we had a bonding sessions with their students just so we could get familiar with one another. It was fun, and I got to know many new faces.
Hiking activity at Bukit Saga
This is organized by the ACCA department too. Despite the tiredness, it was great. We got to bond with our seniors and just have fun. However, I was quite disappointed that we didnāt get to hike all the way up to the top where thereās waterfall due to the limited time. š¦
Animal Shelter Visit
Visited Furry Friends Farm with the Leo Club. Itās a vegan farm by the way, and itās my first time visiting a vegan animal shelter, so I was quite excited and nervous at the same time. Why was I nervous? Because I was scared that the way I treat animals are not āveganā enough, which might lead to me being scolded by the farm owner for animal cruelty.
Surprisingly, I was instead being pointed out by the farm owner to be too gentle on the animals and things wonāt get done if I treat them like that. Then she demonstrated how we should treat the animals and Iām like, āOkay maybe I had misconception on veganismā¦ā
Nevertheless, it was a great experience as there are so many species of animals in the farm other that dogs and cats. I loved it, although the farm owner was quite different from what I expected.
Give
All contributed to church offerings. I wonder where does all the church offerings goes to though? Back in the ancient days, people will burn their offerings to the Lord, but I donāt think thatās still the case now. Some churches contribute the offerings to build more churches for the rural areas, I wonder if thatās the case for the church Iām going to right now? By the way, Iām going to FGA Cheras, if youāre wondering.

The best seller of the month is Mary Kay Skinvigorate Replacement Brush Heads. Thatās probably because most of my customers are using Skinvigorate. Actually, even I myself use Skinvigorate. Since itās exam month, I didnāt put much effort in Mary Kay. However, I did manage to let more people know that Iām a beauty consultant and they can always seek for beauty consultation from me, itās free anyway. Although itās not a guarantee to closing sales, actually itās not even guaranteed that anyone of them would actually seek for beauty consultation from me, but at least thereās exposure, and I really donāt mind giving out free advice. Personal
Flexed Budget
Actual Expenses
Education
Thereās not much to pay for this month except for some stationery. Iām thinking of taking up a/some classes, but Iām still not sure yet. Iām not sure if I have the budget to take up classes, you know? However, life is so boring when your study life is all about taxes and laws and business strategies. Itās either theoretical or numerical, BORING. I need something more. Something fun, but meaningful. Thatās why I thought of taking up classes. Here are some classes I have in mind:
Transformation Class (RM150)
This is a two-day-class held on one of the weekends in April. Itās a class where you can learn to use make up skills and hair styling skills to transform yourself into another person. It seems like fun, and I get to enhance my beauty skills, which is good for my business too. Thereās even transportation provided.
Japanese Class (RM5000++)
Well, as an otaku, one of my dreams would be to watch anime without subtitles. And play all the Japanese games that I love without any English or Chinese translation. And be able to communicate with Japanese in Japanese.
Unfortunately, language classes usually takes up lots of time. And money. Thereās this half-year Japanese course that Iāve found on Facebook that cost more than RM7000! Itās so expensive, yet attractive because the institute offer student exchange programs for Malaysians to go to Japan and experience the student life there.
Yoga Class (RM100++)
I always wanted to try out yoga. My aunt started doing yoga since 2 or 3 years ago and now have a very beautiful body shape.
I know that I can just sign up for a gym membership and join the yoga classes there, and even better, I can join many other classes too, like Zumba or Muay Thai, but Iām not so sure if itās worth it to join a gym just for the classes. To be honest, the condo Iām living in right now already has gym facilities. I can just hit the gym whenever I want. The only problem is, no classes in the condo gym.
Iāve also came up with the idea of downloading a yoga app and just follow the instructions, but err, I need social life. Doing yoga alone with a virtual trainer in an app is not really interactive nor socializing. Iām really done with the anti-social life of being an accounting student, I NEED GROUP ACTIVITIES.
So far, these are the classes that I want to take up. If you have any suggestions or advice for me, please do leave a comment below or contact me.
Necessities
My expenditures have slightly increased by 3.67% compared to last month, but itās still acceptable. In fact, itās way below my budget. I should really spend more on my groceries, since Iām trying to gain weight. My mom has been nagging me every time she talks to me (in person AND on the phone) about how skinny Iāve become and how she thinks itās unhealthy . So yeah, maybe Iāll gain some weight so my mom can stop the nag (I doubt she would though).
Play
Overspent. AGAIN. I donāt know, man, I just keep falling into Satanās trap whenever I see good food deals. Damn Satan, stop tempting me, Iām on a budget here.
Debt
This month, I managed to pay off more compare to last month. Yay! Up till now, 29.65% of my total debt has been paid off, another 70% to go, gambateh!
Give
Last month I told myself that I should give more, seems like I overdid it, hehe. Itās still acceptable though, since all the money went to Jeremiahās birthday meal and birthday present. Many may think that itās crazy spending that much on your partner, but I donāt mind spending on him, to be honest. I mean, heās got a whole lifetime to repay me, so why not? Worse comes to worst, if he leaves me, Iād just think of it as a charity.
Investment
No investment this month either. Still saving up money for the next investment. Iāve said that I want to invest in the PRS Youth last month, but now that I think about it, PRS is a retirement scheme. Just like EPF, you can only take the money out upon retirement, which is kind of a turn off for me. I think Iāll just save my RM1000 for other investments, like maybe mutual funds or stock market. For now, Iāve saved up to 25.85% of my target.
Savings
Iāve been thinking of travelling every year. That would need a lot of money, so Iām saving up. Not only for travelling, Iām also thinking of changing my laptop to a better one when I start working. Actually, thereās so many things I want to do or buy that requires lots of money, so I thought that I should list down my goals and work towards them from now on. Here are the things Iām saving up for:
Penang Trip
Target: RM1500
Deadline: 30/11/2018
Progress: 39.70%
New Laptop
Target: RM3500
Deadline: 30/11/2019
Progress: 0%
Conclusions
This is a month full of thoughts. Maybe Iām too stressed out from all the exams I was having. Maybe Iām just too lifeless, so I keep thinking of things that couldāve made my life better. Iāll take this as a warning from my soul, I NEED TO GET A LIFE.

I have always been a HUGE fan of matcha, and cheese, which result in me being addicted to matcha cheese drinks. Having tried every matcha cheese drink I can find in any shops, stalls or even from pasar malam, I have come to a conclusion that Chizu has got to be my Top 1 matcha cheese go-to-place. Their Matcha Red Bean Cheese drink (Super-flavor) is just SO GOOD that Iād have tast-gasm (it means tastebudsā orgasm, FYI) on my every single sip.
Until ONE DAY, I came across Regiustea, which is famous for their cheese drink. And guess what, THEREāS MATCHA CHEESE DRINK ON THE MENU. After trying their Matcha Cheese, I feel like, thereās a slight change in ranking for Chizu in my heart? But I wasnāt so sure about it, hmm.
On the 1000th day of relationship with Jeremiah, I was very indecisive on where to go to for my favorite matcha cheese. I mean seriously, what is a celebration WITHOUT matcha cheese, right? Anyways we decided to buy from both shops and then rank them based on: Presentation, Cheese, Matcha, Price/Payment and Services.
Chizu Matcha Red Bean Cheese
Regiustea Uji Matcha Cheese with Oreo toppings
Presentation
I would say that Chizu did a better job in this aspect. As you can see from the pictures above, the cover that Chizu uses makes it easier and more convenient to drink the cheese drink. FYI, cheese drinks are supposed to be drunk in such a way where you have to drink it in 45Ā° angle, so obviously a flat cover is more convenient as compared to a round one. Plus, since the cover Regiustea uses is a round cover, we need to remove the cover in order to be able to drink both cheese and matcha at the same time. And personally, I find that the straw Regiustea provided is kind of useless since youāre not even supposed to use a straw when youāre drinking cheese drinks.

I donāt even need to think to say this, Regiustea wins. Why can I be so sure? Because THIS, my fellow friends, is what made me reconsider the ranking of Chizu. Iām really impressed by the cheese of their drinks. The sweetness is just right. Youāll even wish you can just have a cup of cheese, and I mean like just the cheese, without the drink. Thatās how good their cheese is. Besides, if you donāt have a sweet tooth like me, you can customize your own cheese drink. You can customize on the amount of cheese, the sweetness of the cheese, with or without ice, and more. I didnāt customize mine much though, I just went with the standard but without ice, just so my favorite matcha wonāt become diluted.
By the way, Iām not saying that Chizuās cheese is bad, itās just not as good as Regiustea. Well, actually, in Chizu, anything below Super Flavor is quiteā¦ tasteless? Whenever I drink the Regular cheese drinks in Chizu, Iām just likeā¦
Matcha
As you all know, I love matcha more than anything else, probably more than cheese, and MAYā¦BE less than Jeremiah. So this is a very important aspect to me, or you could even say that itās vital. When I tasted Chizuās matcha, I just canāt stop myself from having a tastgasm. Damn, now I remembered why I love that place so much. Thatās some real good matcha right there. The matcha is rich, which is EXACTLY what I want from any matcha drinks and matcha desserts. I mean, whatās the point of ordering matcha cheese if the taste of matcha is so diluted that youāre not even sure if youāre drinking ocha or matcha? By the way, for those that think matcha and ocha are the same, theyāre not. Matcha is creamier and thicker compare to ocha. Itās like comparing fresh milk and heavy cream/ whipping cream, it seems like theyāre the same but theyāre not, they donāt even taste the same.
Anyways, Regiusteaās matcha is too diluted even though the drink is without ice. Itās so diluted that I doubt if theyāre actually using Uji Matcha. I doubt that itās just matcha flavouring powder, which is impossible to be as good as the real deal. Itās just like drinking actual orange juice and drinking orange flavored juice, two very different experiences.
Service
Both shops have good service, to be honest. They are really patient, and they smile, which is something very important when youāre serving. However, if I really have to compare, I think Regiustea would be more newbie-friendly. When we ordered the matcha cheese, the staff recommended their signature drinks to us, and even highlighted their specialty, which is the customization of cheese, to us. He took the initiative to ask us if itās our first time in Regiustea and if itās our first time drinking cheese drinks. He even explained on how to drink cheese drinks just to make sure that weāll have the best cheese drink experience.
Chizu on the other hand, doesnāt do all this, probably because they have too many customers to serve, they aināt got time for this.
Price/Payment
Price-wise, Regiustea is more affordable compare to Chizu. The Uji Matcha Cheese from Regiustea is only RM14.90, while the Matcha Red Bean Cheese from Chizu costs RM16.00. However, since Chizu is one of the FavePay Partners, I get a cashback of up to 20% whenever I spend at Chizu. Unfortunately, Regiustea is not a partner of Fave, so you donāt get any Fave deals or cashbacks from Regiustea š¦
By the way, for those who donāt know whatās Fave, itās a FREE app that offers lots of deals and discounts. Their deals are REALLY GOOD. I used to spend only RM130 for a western dinner thatās worth RM200 through Fave. Download it, YOU WILL NOT REGRET (Not sponsored though, unfortunately). Also, you can use this referral code to get RM5 off your first purchase: 22HL4 (again, not sponsored)
Conclusions
My Top 1 Matcha Cheese Go-To-Place isā¦Drum roll please!
STILL Chizu. Regiustea deserves to be on my Top 3 list though. Top 2 is probably Tokyo Secret, since I feel that itās somewhere in between Chizu and Regiustea.

Chizu vs Regiustea I have always been a HUGE fan of matcha, and cheese, which result in me being addicted to matcha cheese drinks.

Business
Iāve never said this before, but Iām actually a beauty consultant of Mary Kay. However, since Iām still studying, I didnāt focus much on my career, I focused more on my studies. So hereās a summary of my February performance.
Sales
Iāve only had 3 customers for February, weāll call them May, Mars, and Mad.
May
For some reason, she LOVES lipsticks deals from Mary Kay. Most of my lipsticks sales are from her. She bought lip glosses from me in February. She even tipped me! Although itās not much, I still appreciate it. Thanks, girl!
Mars
Mars has been using all kinds of cleansers in the past, causing her skin to be more fragile compare to normal skin. Sheās in her 50s, and she wishes to fight her age. Although I want to recommend her the Timewise Repair series, her skin barrier is still too weak. Therefore I had to let her use the Botanical Effects Formula 1 first in order to recondition her skin. Also, I recommended the Timewise Gel Mask since that is a very mild mask that has anti-aging effects. I also recommended the use of foundation primer to cover some of her dark spots. CC cream or concealer would have a better effect, but she doesnāt want to remove make up every night, so I ended up recommending the foundation primer. Other than that, she bought a skinvigorate from me. Since her skin barrier is still weak, I advised her to only use it twice a week.
Mad
Mad is a regular of mine, Iāve been her beauty consultant since my first day of being a beauty consultant. She bought eye gel from me as hers has been used up.
Closing Inventory
This includes 1 eye gel, 1 lip scrub, 1 lip balm, 2 lipsticks, 4 skinvigorate brush heads, 1 foundation primer, 1 Botanical Effects Formula 2 Freshen, 1 shower gel, and 1 sunscreen.
Conclusions
Most of the closing inventories are customersā pre-orders for March. However, most of the products are in Sabah and those products should be delivered to customers in KL. Hopefully, the products will be shipped to my condo ASAP. Also, Iāll have to follow up on Mars in March to get feedback from her, and also to make sure sheās using the products properly.
Personal
On the left is my flexed budget for February, while on the right is a comparison of my actual expenses of February to Januaryās.
Education
Paid for my ACCA exam fees for F4 to F6. Unavoidable. The exam fees are so expensive that I donāt even think I can afford to fail. Hopefully I can get the full scholarship next semester, but that requires me to be a prize winner.
Speaking of exams, itās exam month for February and March, lots of tests coming up, so there might be less updates on my blog. Need to study so that I can achieve my goal of getting a full scholarship. As the saying goes, one important key to success is SELF-CONFIDENCE. An important key to self-confidence is PREPARATION. Wish me luck!
Necessities
Spent less than January, yay! Thatās probably because I saved some groceries when I went back to Sabah for Chinese New Year. Chinese New Year was dramatic by the way, didnāt enjoy it that much. But the food was DAMN GOOD. I ate so much that my tummy couldnāt take it and I had a terrible diarrhea for 2 days. That was like a heaven and hell experience all in one CNY.
Play
Totally overspent on this one, mainly due to my 999th & 1000th days celebration, CNY shopping and Sunway Lagoon trip.
999th & 1000th Days Celebration
As you all know, Jeremiah and I celebrated our 999th & 1000th days of relationship during the month. We spent on LOTS AND LOTS OF FOOD. We spent our money like
Although we spent so much on these 2 days, I donāt regret it. I think that our relationship worth more than just cash, although the celebration didnāt go as expected. For those that didnāt know whatās my expectations and how it turned out to be on those days, you can read it here.
CNY Shopping
As a Chinese, CNY shopping is a must. Itās considered as unavoidable. Okay, maybe there are Chinese who donāt do CNY shopping because they think itās a waste of money and itās too luxurious, but not for me. I only shop twice a year (CNY and Christmas), so itās necessary for me.
Since mom said that green is my lucky color this year, so I searched every corner of the mall for a green outfit and finally found one that cost me almost RM100. YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW HOW DIFFICULT IT IS TO FIND THE PERFECT GREEN.
Sunway Lagoon Trip
This was probably a mistake. I shouldāve postponed it to this month so I wonāt overspend THAT much on February. However, I enjoyed it a lot. It was worth the price. Plus, I get to have an amusement park date with Jeremiah, just like how couples date in anime (not really a date though since his friends are here too). We went to Sunway Lagoon on the selected Terrific Thursday, not the best deal of Sunway Lagoon, but I wonāt be free anytime soon, and I was craving for it since July of last year, so yeah, blame it on the crave.
Debt
This so called debt is actually reimbursement of the condominium deposit (RM2240) to me. Last year when I moved in, I didnāt have enough living allowances to pay the deposit, so I had to use my personal savings. I pay back some amount to myself every month. Up until now, I have repaid myself RM443.26, thatās almost 20% of my total debt, yay!
Give
I always feel that I give too little, maybe Iām too cautious? Iām always afraid that if I give too much, Iāll end up not having enough money for myself, so I always ended up giving too little. Is this just me? Or does any of you have/used to have this issue too? Do share in the comments! Anyways, I hope I can give more in March. Iāll just have to learn to be more generous and trust that God will provide, I guess.
Investment (Financial Freedom Account)
No investment for this month because Iām saving up for my next investment. Iām thinking of investing in the PRS Youth when I have RM1000. Hopefully Iāll be able to save up this amount by end of June.
Savings (Long Term Savings)
In total Iāve saved RM718.89 on February, thatās 17.52% of my total income! However, I decided that I should only lock in 5% of it to my Long Term Savings Account, while the rest of it will be rollover to the next month, just in case of any emergencies.
Conclusions
This is a VERY LUXURIOUS month. I think what I did most in February was feasting. Feasted on my 999th & 1000th days, feasted on CNY, feasted during my Sunway Lagoon trip, and also feasted on the last day of February because my friend and I decided that we should celebrate March Eve, and also pre-celebrate that we will pass our tests.
Anyways, gotta cut down on those feasting and focus more on what is necessary.
Luxurious February 2018 Business I've never said this before, but I'm actually a beauty consultant of Mary Kay. However, since I'm still studying, I didn't focus much on my career, I focused more on my studies.
