Upgraded my bumbag to this sick as fuck lil belt bag from restyle.pl with customisable straps, so when I done pretending I’m an exploring post - apocalyptic lands I can turn it into a handbag and be all fancy.
Gonna take it to Amsterdam with me, it’s also quite small but with a good amount of pockets which is good cos it means I’m likely to take less shit out with me and only the stuff I need. 😁

SHARDs Fact Of The Day - March 13 2017
Think your diamond may not be flawless? Worry not! Naturally occuring diamonds virtually always contain natural imperfections such as inclusions of other minerals (most often carbon and garnets) as well as naturally occuring fractures such as those shown in the above image. In fact, because synthetic, lab created diamonds are identical to natural diamonds the only way to tell the difference is to have an expert closely inspect the diamond under high magnification looking for these natural imperfections that confirm the diamond is in fact of natural origin and not a flawless diamond created in a lab. Synthetic diamonds must be created under strictly controlled environemnts which causes the end result to lack nature beauty marks.

SHARDs Fact Of The Day - March 12 2017
While todays lapidaries (stone cutters) use precision equiptment to cut the precisly shaped and faceted diamonds of today, prior to the developtment of said equiptment in the 19th century artisans cut and shaped each diamond by hand into an individual creation. If we go back even further in history, before the developtment of abraisves hard enough to cut and polish diamond, diamonds were cut and shaped with a hammer and chisel by splitting the diamond along planes known as Cleavage, which, in mineralogy, is the tendency of crystalline materials to split along definite crystallographic structural planes (shown in image 2). These impressive artisan skills are becomming increasingly less common today so finding someone who can cut diamonds in this fashion is a rare occasion.

SHARDs Fact Of The Day - March 10 2017
The Amber Room is a world-famous chamber decorated in solid amber panels backed with gold leaf and mirrors, located in the Catherine Palace of Tsarskoye Selo near Saint Petersburg. The original room was created in the 18th century in Prussia and was considered an "8th wonder of the world". Remarkably, after the second world war, the entire room went missing! The Amber Room was looted during World War II by Army Group North of Nazi Germany and brought to Königsberg for reconstruction and display. Its current whereabouts remain a mystery. In 2003 after decades of work by Russian craftsmen the room was recreated, kept true to its original form with solid amber panels and authentic gold leaf backing. Modern estimates of the room's value range from $142 million to over $500 million.

SHARDs Fact Of The Day - March 9 2017
The above image is a computer generated representation of the Florentine Diamond, a massive 137 Carat vivid yellow diamond. Why didnt we use a real photograph instead of this computer generated image? The answer, surprisingly, is that nobody knows the current location of this stone! Although there are many different stories, rumors and legends regarding its origins, its documented history shows that it was stolen sometime after 1918. After the fall of the Austrian Empire during World War I, the stone, along with others from the Habsburg Crown Jewels were taken by Charles I of Austria into exile in Switzerland, where the theft took place. After the gemstone was stolen it was repordetly sent to South America, but beyond this there is only speculation as to where it may be located today. The most popular theory is that it was brought into the United States in the 1920s where it was recut and sold.

SHARDs Fact Of The Day - March 8 2017
This large Diamond, unearthed in the early 2000s in the Republic of Congo was originally slated for industrial use due to the large amount of inclusions and impurities. At the last moment, however, an Artist and Lapidary was given the chance to coax his vision out of the rough stone. His vision? A Japanese Koi fish. In its finished state the diamond weighs more than 31 Carats and has a pear shape with bright vivid orange hues as well as specks of blue and black, making this Diamond as visually unique as the fish it is modeled after. As of 2013, the spectacular Koi Diamond belonged to Rawstone Business Holding, a precious commodities trading company with connections in Antwerp, Luxembourg, Shanghai, and Tel Aviv. When it is not on display, it resides in a secured vault in Antwerp.Seen or unseen it remains one of the most magnificent diamonds ever to be unearthed.

SHARDs Fact Of The Day - March 7 2017
First mined in 1944 Japan, Sugilite, also known as lavulite, royal azel, cybeline, and wesselite, is a rare pink-purple mineral often overlooked in jewellery due to its rarity, especially in gem quality stones. Purple, gem grade Sugilite has stunning purple hues that are uncomparable to any other gemstone, and its value has been increasing significantly over the past number of years. Some consider Sugilite an excellent investment due to its increasing rarity, but regardless of its value its certainly one of the most amazing stones.

Hey there!! Our names are Tasha and Aj! We are a young etsy shop looking to expand our following. Have to say we absolutely adore your feed!!! We were wondering if you have any tips on how to grow our tumblr feed? Tried messaging you privately but it said something went wrong but would love to share your wisdom so we thought we would try here! 👽💕
Hey, thank you for the positive feedback! :) I checked out some of your stuff, it's very lovely! I can't provide much insight as I only have a very small Tumblr following, but I'll help as best as I can. One of the things I recommend most if you are not already doing it is signing up for Google Analytics and Submitting your Tumblr to their search console. Its quick and simple to set up, free, and really helps with SEO especially when it comes to getting traffic from search engines. You can also add your analytics ID to your Etsy page as well. Also when making posts use the HTML editor instead of the simple text editor to make headers. You can find easy guides for this and again it really helps increase your ranking in search results when people search for your tags (if they are reused in the text if possible). I've recently been making the same mistake as well but in the “source” section of your post, put your Tumblr instead of Etsy, twitter, etc. as it will remove the extension from other websites and redirect users to the Etsy home page rather than your shop page :) Hope this helps!

SHARDs Fact Of The Day - March 6 2017
Oak Island, a small island just off the coast of Nova Scotia, Canada, is home to many theories about a possible buried treasure. Although the original events leading up to the present day are widely disputed, we do know that somewhere between the mid-1700s and the mid-1800s, people began digging in a location now known as the "money pit" seeking what they believe to be buried treasure. Over the past 150 years, approximately, many have died trying to reach whatever is, if anything, at the bottom of this mysterious pit. Thus far, multiple objects and artifacts have been found including oak planks, tunnels that appear to be purposefully designed to flood the pit, and a stone that allegedly contains a cipher or manuscript. There remains many theories of what the Oak Island money pit is hiding, from Marie Antoinette's jewels to Shakespeare manuscripts while others believe it is nothing but a natural sinkhole or an old Tar Kiln from when Oak Island served as a tar-making location as part of the British naval stores' industry
