Anjaneya Hill has an awesome 600+ stairs climb up a small stony hill. What's absolutely great is the views of Hampi that you get to see while climbing up.
Some stories mention this being Hanuman/ Anjaneya's birthplace, but most myths say otherwise. You will encounter annoying and bold lot of monkeys throughout the climb. No to mention, do not carry edibles in hand. Don't leave your bags alone as you enjoy the view or click pictures, one of the monkeys is sure to flick it out of sheer curiosity.
The temple doors are often half open if not closed, to prevent monkeys from entering.

Here are a couple of shots from the Vitthala Temple Complex. My heart aches to see the destruction every time. Archaeological department have numbered the stones for marking and revival work. Some part of this complex had been left incomplete.

The Mahanavami Dibba is an ancient open air stage used by the rulers for religious celebrations. Mahanavami is the day prior to Dasara. At the entrance you will come across a huge, fallen stone door. The dibba itself has detailed carvings depicting contemporary lives of people.
