Perach walked around the palace from side to side, annoyed and frustrated. It was her day off, but instead of relaxing in her room, she spent her time thinking of a second plan to get rid of her mortal enemy little obstacle. Everything turned out for her in the most shitty way! Not only was the spy not dead, she was redeemed! How!?

And yet, this wasn't the end for Perach. The spy had not left Sarai's room since the moment the seraph heard he was inside. That means something is holding him there! Did Sarai tie him up? Nope, that's unlikely. Is he just afraid? Hell no, this filth has done crazier things. Ashamed? ...Maybe.

Whatever the true reason was, Perach's thoughts were suddenly interrupted by the sounds of someone's footsteps. She turned around just to find Adina at the opposite end of the hallway.

She finally found her way back to the palace, a place she wasn’t happy to return to but she would do anything for Lee. He was dog-sitting for Milan, watching over her new puppy Gelato. He looked up from his Uno game with Gelato and his rats, and finished his cigarette as he walked towards the door. He opened it to see the Seraph Perach.

The stress of hiding Schnitzel in her quarters cashed a few of Sarai’s feathers to fall out. Not that she noticed, since she was far too busy emptying her cabinet of absinthe after she had managed to get the hell-chicken to stay put (somehow). To her dismay, it was empty. It seemed she was drinking a lot more than she had realized.

Smashing the bottle in frustration, Sarai heads off to the Palace buffet for some alcohol. Thank God she wasn’t made with alcohol immunity. She needed to feel good for a while, and she couldn’t bear to face Ava for support. Just because they had patched things up didn’t mean they could burden them with their own issues. Part of being a better sister would mean that they would do better than that.

Sarai finds bottles of the finest, strongest absinthe. She takes one, pops it one, and chugs it all. Then she does it again with the next bottle. And the next, and the next…

Soon their head is fuzzy, but their worries are still there.

Not enough. She had to take more.

She was about to until she spotted someone walking by.
