My Forever

♪ author’s note: this is my first work that i’m posting here! i hope everyone enjoys!

It has always been the view of his back that broke something in me. His footsteps slowly imprint in the innocent snow and his figure blending into the melancholic scenery. That day had the skies painted with smudges of purple and pink, making a majestic blend of reds. The sun gradually sets itself under the blankets of the horizon as it initiates the fall of crystal ice. Along with the freshly deposited snow, the tinge of tears taints the clean whites. The sound of shattered hearts was what resonated throughout the crying night, and as if the heavens were overlooking the two individuals, they shook their heads in disappointment with heavy hearts.

The day was supposed to be showered with illuminating smiles and glittering crystals. Planned to relax into the night and to release exerting negative energy, it resulted in the exact opposite. Arriving near the dock, I leaned against the icy steel poles, staring deeply into the waves softly bouncing. The bright sun started to set into the night, and as I patiently waited, the beautiful sight in front of me was sadly gloomy as if it was trying to inform me of the dreadful event following my peace.

Feeling the tap of fingers on my back, I spun on my heels with a bright smile present on my face, but as I took in the form of him, the once shine in my eyes gradually faded away. Simultaneously, as on cue, the bitter snow was released from their birthplace. As his mouth moved, I felt myself crumbling down, withering like an old flower, crying as if my heart was being crushed. But that’s exactly what happened, my heart was being crushed by the boy I love, the one I thought was the perfect person that was going to be my forever.
