And now my daughter Najah, just one year and three months old, is trapped with her mother in northern Gaza, suffering from hunger, fear, and homelessness😭 We are separated by war, and I haven’t seen her take her first steps or hear her laugh. Every day without her breaks my heart 💔

On the morning of October 13th, we woke up to a devastating explosion that shook our neighborhood. As we searched through the rubble for survivors, we heard the faint voice of my younger brother calling from beneath the debris of a nearby house. He was pulled out with partial memory loss and a skull fracture, and every day since, he has endured his pain in silence. The doctors have stressed the urgent need for surgery to remove the shrapnel lodged in his head, but this operation can only be performed abroad.

For Rana Abdul-Jawad, a wife and mother of four from Gaza, this is her heartbreaking reality. Her beautiful home, once a haven of joy, was destroyed, leaving her and her children in a torn and worn-out tent. They now face the unrelenting cold of winter with no warm clothes, no covers, and no reprieve. Her children shiver through each moment, vulnerable to illness from the freezing temperatures, and struggle to survive the harsh conditions.

Recently, the winter rain storms have flooded their fragile tent, soaking everything inside. Rana has spent entire nights desperately trying to stabilize it against the wind and rain, fearing it might collapse entirely. Despite her efforts, the tent cannot properly shield her family from the bitter cold or the relentless rain.

The Occupation has systematically destroyed every social infrastructure that makes civil society possible, whether it be healthcare, food systems, or education. In an attempt at genocide, they've targeted schools, hospitals, businesses, and every person who supports their community through their profession.

Rana and Ahmed (@ranafam2) are educators from Khan Yunis (Northern Gaza Strip), with Rana as a statistics professor at the Islamic University of Gaza and Ahmed as the principal of his school: both institutions have now been destroyed.

Palestinians have survived occupation for well over a century now, and they will remain steadfast, but they need your support.

In my conversation with Rana, she told me:

"Providing food and drink for my children right now is impossible. A bag of flour costs 1000 shekels ($272) and milk, for my little girl, is 100 shekels ($28). This is the least of what we need.

As for the tent, today my children froze from the cold because the tent is very, very, very worn out. And we drowned when it rained for a while. We couldn't sleep.

Please, if you know someone who can donate to me, I need it very, very much so that I can at least survive."

To help them get through this week, we must raise at least $1000 to cover the cost of flour and milk. The long term goal is $100,000.

artem: this man is vanilla as hell yet still inexplicably worried and embarrassed about it. i think the farthest he'll go, kink wise, is maybe some simple bondage with ties maybe, but past that, hes not particularly interested in anything harder. if he were with a partner who was kinkier, he would definitely be open to trying things out, but his placement on the chart reflects more of his innate tastes.

im really proud of how this came out because i wrote it primarily to stretch my comedy muscles again, i was worried i had like, forgotten how to be funny. so i was immensely relieved and happy to get comments assuring me that i hadnt lost my touch, with humor

also, that was a fic i wrote in ONE SITTING. IN JUST A FEW HOURS IN ONE AFTERNOON. idk how the hell i did that, looking back, but i wanna be able to write more fics like this, just like. sitting down, focusing, and Making Something Immediately....hopefully

12. How many WIP’s do you have in your docs for next year?

this is an impossible question to answer, unfortunately, because 1) i have trouble figuring out which of my WIPs i want to focus on at a given period of time and, more importantly, 2) i have over 100+ WIP docs in my tears of themis fic folder

that 100+ number may not even be accurate anymore because last time i counted was around like last year?? and i have made MANY MORE NEW FIC IDEAS SINCE THEN.....

for now though i'll say that im focusing on two WIPs in particular, for this first part of 2025!!!

the first one is this oc/luke fic where NSB era luke gets trained by an older woman agent for honeypot missions

and the second WIP i wanna write when im done with the honeypot fic is this future era mariluke fic where mariluke is married with kids and luke is being silly about their daughter having her first boyfriend
