Hato café AU

So... when I was in Japan early in 2017, I saw this café and naturally, came up with this AU soon enough... (Note: I have never gone into this café before so this AU has nothing to do with the actual café in question) This is a general AU so I don’t think there are any set pairings (yet) but my bias is Staff trio so uhh it’s fairly long so I’m placing this under a cut

- The Kawaras own a café, Ryouta goes to school but helps out at times after school

- Mrs Kawara (I need a name for her) excels in the food while Ryuuji excels in the drinks (coffee brewing). Ryouta learns cooking/baking from his mother and does the food at times.

- Shuu was taken in by the Kawaras since young and have been practicing under Ryuuji on the art of coffee brewing since, he’s currently the barista in the café.

- Ryouta is used to seeing Shuu around since he was very young and as a result, looks up to him as an older brother. (This is where it gets self indulgent sdjkfbds)

- In this AU, Shuu looks intimidating on the outside and people keep talking about the scary barista but Ryouta’s just like “Ehh you don’t have to be scared of him, he’s really nice guy actually”

- Hitori does the accounting in the café while Ryuuji is preoccupied with inventing new brews. Hitori is mostly in the office but sometimes he heads out to help with serving the customers when it’s busy. He gets paid very well of course.

- I would love to think that some of the older Hatoful house kids end up working in the café as well, part-time or otherwise

- Nageki is in school but goes over to the café to do his homework at times, or just to wait for Hitori to finish off work so that they can head home together.

- Ryouta recognises Nageki in school and it’s how they became friends

- Sakuya didn’t want to go to the café at first because he deemed it too low class for him. When Ryouta finally convinced him to come, he took his orders personally and managed to change Sakuya’s mind with his cooking.

- Ryouta would also insist on making Hiyoko’s orders personally whenever she visits.

- Shuu would brew a cup of tea or coffee for Hitori everyday as Hitori is usually buried in work to do it himself. They get along fairly well.

- Kazuaki is a regular who goes to the café everyday and cries to the barista (Shuu) about how much he wants to die. In which, Shuu would always question him on why he’s here if that’s the case.

- Unbeknownst to everyone, Kazuaki is actually a huge name in the literature world. He wrote a few novels and also light novels though he uses pennames a lot so no one knew it was him. Hitori and Shuu like some of his books but they never knew that the person who wrote them is that crybaby regular.

- Kazuaki usually goes to the café to cry about wanting to die and also to jot down ideas. He doesn’t believe that anyone would like his work despite being so known all round. He has a strong case of imposter syndrome.

- Kazuaki is kinda interested in the ‘cool, handsome waiter’ that emerges every now and then (read: Hitori). He keeps asking Shuu to introduce them but Shuu has not done so yet

- Yuuya is the kind of regular who would sometimes disappear for a week or two and come back like nothing happened.

- Ryouta knows Yuuya from Sakuya and they exchange stories about Sakuya at times.

- Anghel sometimes goes to the café to draw manga, he always asks for black coffee although he is too weak for it. He tries his best.

- Tohri works in the stylish artistic café across the road, he's the barista there and views Shuu as his greatest rival. He excels in latte art of course. The difference between Shuu and him is that the coffee brewed by Shuu looks simple but tastes really good. While the coffee brewed by Tohri looks amazing on the outside but tastes fairly normal. (they should work together but well)

That’s all I have for now I guess www it’s just a feel good AU for me really wwwww I hope everyone would like it too ahaha

While drawing Saihara, I realised that his hair is similar to how I draw my OC KEITH (just that Keith has no ahoge) so... I decided to draw Keith in Saihara’s clothes wwww

What’s fun is that I’ve thought of future jobs for Keith once and decided on ‘Private Investigator’ for some reason www Private Investigators are pretty similar to Detective so it’s pretty fitting I would say www
