Say hello to SDLFF’s new Poster Winner!  After receiving a record number of entries for its annual international poster design competition, the Media Arts Center San Diego unveiled the winning artwork that will be the face of the 23rd Annual San Diego Latino Film Festival (SDLFF), on Dec. 3, at the Border X Brewery in Barrio Logan. The 23rd Annual San Diego Latino Film Festival will take place from March 10-20 at AMC 18 Simon Fashion Valley Mall.

This is the 3rd year my sweet mama buys me an 11movie pass for the #LatinoFilmFestival 😄 These are the tickets I’ve gotten so far + one I saw on the 12th called ‘Todos Estan Muertos’ I HIGHLY recommend attending even for one night even if you dont speak spanish it’s soooo worth it!!! honestly all the movies I’ve seen each year have been AMAZING 10/10 A+ I’m planning on going for the rest of my life :) It ends on the 22nd hope to see some of yall there #SDLFF

Day 7 of the 2015 SDLFF - Now Showing!

Tomás is sent to live with his brother, Sombra, after an act of mischief pushes his mother over the edge. Upon arriving, Tomás is surprised that Sombra and his roommate are on “strike” against a student revolt occurring in their college. Without the pressure of academic obligations, the three are free to pursue other interests; mainly making contact with a singer Tomás and Sombra listened to as kids. Dually nostalgic and modern, this black and white ode to French New Wave cinema is an unforgettable experience, marking the arrival of a fantastic new voice in Mexican cinema – Alonso Ruiz Palacios.
