One of the joys of owning Martello Alley is that wonderfully talented artists show up all the time. When they leave, they tag us in some amazing photos. This one is not only stunning; it screams out “AUTUMN!” and “HALLOWEEN!”

By the way, Martello Alley will be closed Thanksgiving Monday. I am blessed that our four wonderful children will be coming to have Thanksgiving dinner with us.

It happened again! A visitor was so taken by the transformation of this alley and the story behind it that he handed me a $10 bill. He worked for Parks Canada. and was a retired lock master on the Trent-Severn waterway. He told me how much he loved his job, and how he enjoyed meeting all the people who passed through the canal system. It was a real pleasure meeting someone who was so passionate about his work. Every year since I started this little gallery in 2015 someone has given me a donation like this. I am very pleased and humbled that it has touched so many people.
