OH MY GOD i needed somewhere to geek out about this. the spock/kirk and picard/riker parrallels are INSANE. i admit im not super good on star trek lore and i only know the basics, but i just finished the season 3 TNG finale and the first episode of season four.

kirk having to watch spock die to save his crew and the federation, and now riker making the decision that the possibility of picard dying is less important that destroying the borg while they have the chance…. i hate this so much
