Did some paintings with photo references for practice and liked how they turned out! Used my fixation on GK to my advantage for this... Just in time for the Live Action to make it's way over to where I am too. 🐏🐗

I also love how Noda used Ogata’s prosthetic as an expressive thing too, especially when he’s seen from a higher/lower/etc angle. It’s brilliant to see how his prosthetic is kept looking forward but his other eye is looking up/down. It adds to his.. almost “creepy” aura he has going on and I absolutely adore it.

There is a moment, in that chapter, where his eyes are wide in shock but the other eye stays dead. It's such a fantastic moment and really conveys the panic that is starting to set in.

Side note, it really interests me that Ogata felt the need to get a prosthetic eye; he's not someone who appears to care about vanity. It's like he does it to prove he hasn't changed at all, that he is still whole in some ways. But he's not the same!! There is something off, something wrong, something broken.

But why confront the fact he lost an eye? Just pop a ceramic in there to look like nothing has ever been lost. No need to do any sort of evaluation of yourself! Everything is fine! Just ignore the fact you're now being haunted by the representation of your guilt, that shit doesn't count.
