The thing about nearing my 30s and never having a best friend is that it feels like it's too late. I never figured out how to be a person, let alone a friend and now its like everyone. already paired off, and im left here alone. The world says friends will accept you for who you are, but that's not true. Now they just say get married because only a partner can provide that level of comradery, but that seems awful. I've let the mask slip too often around people who prove themselves unworthy to the point where the problem might just be me and who the "real me" is. The same complaints from multiple people kinka implies I am the common factor here. I don't understand. I want a manual. I want friends.
