Hope was not home at the time, she was working at a diner in Los Angeles, but Caroline was standing outside on the front porch. She could hear who comes onto the property, but they would not be able to see her. Shock filled her entire body, numbing sensation that burnt through her body. The presence..scent..his smell she knew exactly who it was. Shocked that the magic worked, Caroline didn’t know how to reply, but chuckled hearing Klaus 

“If someone can hear me, show yourself; I did not cross an entire continent to be left groveling at your bloody doorstep…” 

Chuckling, Caroline knew right away he had not changed at all, but what would he think if he sees her the way she is now. Hope was going to be happy, and Caroline knew it was worth losing her vision. She may have not been able to see him, but Klaus always carried a certain presence that was hard to ignore.

Caroline was cautious because witches can even fool her with dark magic, Caroline decided to test this Klaus Mikaelson to make sure it is her Klaus. Not wanting to speak and make herself known, Caroline used magic thanks to Freya as Klaus would see writing on the ground. “Prove to me that you are Niklaus Mikaelson” The words were imbedded in the ground as she waited more curious. Moving toward the door, she walked off the porch and stood a few feet from him. Just looking at Klaus he didn’t seem to age at all, and still looked very handsome, but she would never let him know that. 

She had messaged Hope to update that someone who claimed to be her father was outside their property, and not to come home until she knew for sure that this was Klaus Mikaelson. Caroline was wearing a sundress since it was warm outside, and a pair of sunglasses since the light did hurt her. He did look good, but she hoped that losing her vision was worth all the trouble. Caroline has always been on guard since she and Hope are in danger.

After they managed to bring Klaus back, Caroline and Hope had no time to stay they needed to run away before they were found out by hunters.

Hope had to be there for Caroline since Care had to pay a big price for the magic she had done, and being on the run never stayed in one place for too long. Finally, they managed to live in a safe house in Los Angeles, California away from the city and the public. Caroline was lucky that Freya had set up precautions to hide their home from others who were hunting for them. If anyone walked onto the property it would look like just a vacant lot with no house, and this is how she and Hope managed for a year without being caught. Over the next few months, Caroline didn’t know what Freya meant when she said that there would be a price to pay for using taboo magic, but her vision started to fade. At first, Caroline didn’t think nothing of it, and over the next month her visions was getting cloudier to the point she was going blind.

Freya had a doctor sent over for Caroline, and she found out that she was going to be permeant blind. Her sight was fading, and that is when Care knew this was the price she was paying for. Did Caroline feel guilty? No, she accepted that there would be a consequence, but it was going to be hard to run with Hope when she was losing her vision. 

Klaus Mikaelson hadn’t set foot in California since the gold rush. Oh, how the pioneers and prospectors made for lovely poaching; the Donner Party was a particularly entertaining piece of compulsion by yours truly. To find himself thrust into the world of the living once more without a familiar face in sight, Klaus dared not risk the exposure of the Original Hybrid’s return publicly, not when his paranoia screamed that the wolves were gathering at the proverbial gates. Not even death could quell the demons of Klaus’ past, not when he had his peace torn from him. To be at rest with the knowledge his daughter lived on, that was enough for him–a fitting end to the tyranny that was Klaus Mikaelson.

Yet there he stood in the flesh, basking in the rays of the Sunshine State as the infernal pull beneath his chest, undoubtedly some unbearable concoction of witchcraft, guided him so. He sought answers and somehow with all his being did he believe they would be found in California. As his hunt resumed after a brief pit stop of several truckers–alcoholics, by the taste of them, thus the world was better off–he found himself standing before a vacant lot.

Yet there was more to this vacancy than it seemed given the metallic tang in the air. Magic. He knew Freya’s mark when he felt it, a magic he had become so familiar with as it had served his family’s purposes many a time before his demise. Though he could go no further, he knew he found his mark. Closing his eyes, he reached out with his other senses as he attempted to bridge the last gap that stood before him. “If someone can hear me, show yourself; I did not cross an entire continent to be left groveling at your bloody doorstep…” He carped, claws elongating as he dragged his fingertips over that barrier of magic.

Return Of Caroline

Coming to New Orleans, Caroline heard about what happened to Klaus and his family. The moment Hayley came to Mystic Falls she let Hayley store the coffins down in her basement for the time being. Heading to New Orleans with Hayley, Caroline was not going to let Klaus suffer for this, but she luckily had some magic that Bonnie gave her. Arriving in New Orleans she had a feeling thanks to a tracking spell from Bonnie, Caroline knew exactly where Klaus was. Luckily Bonnie had access to the ancestors as she came to a bricked in the wall. Klaus had to be here there was no other option, but what brought Caroline to save Klaus? Simple she didn’t want him to suffer, and the sacrifice he did for his family was well worth it. Using her strength she started to break down the brick wall not caring if her knuckles would bleed or not, but what Caroline sees made her gasp. “Klaus..”

No one deserved that as she finished breaking the brick wall cradling his body lowering him to the ground. Resting his head on her lap she reached and ripped the blade from his chest with a hard pull. Touching his face she fumbled for her backpack taking out bloodbags, and even her own blood bags. That wouldn’t be enough for what  happened to him. “Klaus..Klaus can you hear me” She fed him the blood bags as if he was a child trying to get him back to somewhat normal. Bonnie and her  other friends asked why she was saving Klaus, and it was simple deep down she did care for him. He had Hope and a family that was more important. Smiling to Klaus watching some color return to his skin.

“You are lucky Bonnie helped me find you”  She said with a small smile reaching for her cell phone to call Hayley to help her get Klaus back to the compound knowing he was weak. After what seemed forever both Caroline and Hayley lifted him up taking him toward the jeep placing Klaus in the backseat. As she joined him in the back resting his head back on her lap. “You know Klaus, I came all the way here to save you, but everyone deserves a chance” She said with a smile running her fingers through his curls.

Listening to Klaus, she looked at him almost badly seeing what he was going through. She knew all about torture from her own experience. He saved her so many times, and now it was time for her to save him. “Klaus, I will be fine,” Caroline said, but Lucien smirked looking to Klaus. “You care about this one don’t you Klaus” He smirked circling Caroline once she walked farther in. “She is a pretty thing Nik. Wherever did you find such a creature” Nervous a bit watching him circle her she scrunched her face this guy needed a reality check. “You really don’t want to mess with me” She hoped Bonnie’s protection spell would work as Lucien leaped toward her, but the imaginary shield sent him flying across the room. She wouldn’t even come if Bonnie didn;t do her voodoo magic on her.

“I advise you leave Lucien because I have witches on my side, and I can easily rid of your so called power” She smirked learning a few tricks from her mother when it came to making someone feel pressure.  Watching Lucien  charge once again the shield only sent him harder across the room. Moving toward Klaus she ripped the chains softly. When Caroline touched him the barrier also surrounded him. "He can't touch you with the barrier. You can thank Bonnie for this" Caroline led Klaus out of the penthouse and onto the street.

"I thought I return the favor for every time you tried to save me." Just then the barrier broke and there was no more magic. "Bonnie did a spell for me, and now it wears off, but I learned from your sister what happened to you. So here I am. I came to see you actually"  She chuckled a little now nervous being next to Klaus. "I've missed you" She was not a target to Lucien.

Saving A Friend

Caroline could have not picked a worst time to come to New Orleans, but this wasn’t a pleasure trip. During Mystic Falls, Caroline had saved her friend, but also become something else. She needed Klaus help and decided first to go to his home, but when she got there to the door Caroline was quiet. She could overhear Elijah and his siblings talking about Klaus capture from Lucien and her ear was pressed against the door. Who was Lucien? Though she could easily find out if she wanted to. Hearing that Klaus was at Lucien’s penthouse she needed to get to him fast before something would happen to her friend. Swiftly leaving her car in their driveway, Caroline managed to force two vampires to tell her where Lucien’s penthouse was.

Was he dying? How much trouble was Lucien, and even with her new abilities thanks to Bonnie could she stand up to a powerful advanced original. She overheard about his bite how deadly it can be, and of course she was a little nervous of the thought of seeing Klaus again. They were best friends, but she still cared for him. Since giving the twins back and leaving Mystic Falls for a bit she wanted to make her home in New Orleans. Back at the Penthouse, Lucien grinned wicked looking to Klaus in his chains with a smirk. “You know Niklaus it was a joy killing Finn, and pretty soon you will be joining him in hell.” He said sending a rough kick to Klaus midsection. “No one cares about you soon all your family will come falling just like poor dear Rebekah. Aurora will find her eventually, but I have plans for you. Sucks not having the sire bond does it.”

Caroline snuck into the house hearing Lucien speaking that Klaus would fall like his brother well she wasn’t going to let nothing happen. Making sure her boots clicked on the floor crossing her arms over her chest. “You know I don’t appreciate someone hurting my friend, and let alone kidnapping them. So you must be Lucien I must say not pleasing to the eye it’s kinda sad. ” Leaning against the doorframe pushing some blond locks out of her face checking out Klaus seeing he was alright, but still not in good shape. Lucien smirked hearing unfamiliar voice as he looked toward Klaus. “Where have you been hiding this sharp tounged beauty Klaus, and I must say it will be a pleasure to rip her spine out” Lucien took a few steps toward Caroline as she moved back just a few inches. “What is your name pretty? How do you know our dear friend Klaus” He stepped closer to Caroline right now he wanted a toy.

“It’s none of your business what my relationship to Klaus is you will let him go” Watching Lucien come closer to her phased her a bit. If he could kill Finn then was she a match for him. Hoping that Bonnie’s magic and what she is will work. “It’s not nice to not invite a visitor in. You need to be a proper host Lucien” He grinned motioning for her to come inside. “Come in just remember you step foot in here then  you won’t leave” This guy was worse with pick up lines then Klaus was.

“ His name wouldn’t be Lucien would it. You are going to kill me but I am in New Orleans and face to face with your friend. He caught me going to your house and now your lunatic friend is watching me" She spoke a whisper so he could hear, but there was also a nervous tone to her voice. “We are getting along fine. Yes this is kinda a priority"

“Caroline, while your concern for my well-being is very heartwarming, I would like for you to understand that there is mass murdering lunatic who was-for a brief moment- a close friend of mine. Caroline noticed Klaus bust through the door as she rolled her eyes. "You are paying for that door" Hearing his voice talk about punishment made her squirm both in delight and shock. Placing her hands on her hips glaring at him. "You will do no such thing and I am far too old to be punished" Still tipsy but not drunk she twirled her blond hair moving toward Niklaus nodding secretly to Rebekah. "Come on Nik do you really want to punish me,"

 She said licking her pink lips her outfit was a short dress that did leave quite a bit to show. It was thanks to Rebekah and her semi-hangover. "Don't be jealous Klaus the boys only want to look and besides you don't own me. I am not going anywhere this is my room and I am staying here with Rebekah. This is girls night no guys allowed"

Moving toward Klaus running her hands along his chest she knew how to really get him going, and payback was coming as her eyes looked to him. "I owe a lap dance to a guy for beads" She teased with a chuckle her black pumps adorned her feet. Honestly tipsy Caroline was always fun. "We both know you want me are you jealous Klaus? That these other boys are looking at me because they have a right to"

Calling A Friend

Caroline paced her house after coming back from college for a break it turns out things only got worse now a new threat is out there picking off supernaturals one by one. Her body was healing from the torment she went through with one of the assassins. Stefan and Damon were taking care of things trying to get as much help as possible to find a way to defeat these assassins. Though Elena was against it Caroline decided to call Klaus even if her feelings for him were mixed up. She had dumped Tyler and now seek comfort through Klaus. He made her feel safe which none of her friends seemed to understand. They were friends at least for now, but Caroline was afraid of Klaus far as starting a relationship. Though she couldn't fight the attraction she had for him. Reaching for her cell phone, she called Klaus leaving him a message. "Klaus, It's Caroline. I need you here in Mystic Falls. Something is happening and I really would feel better with you here" Her voice sounded she was in pain.

Hanging up, she hissed at the burns on her flawless skin, and the various bruises that were healing. Stefan had managed to help pull out the vervain darts from her body, but it left her very weak. Worse they were out of blood and it wasn't safe for her to go out in her condition. Damon told her supernatural creatures have been going missing including vampires. Someone was assassinating vampires, and that scared her. She hoped he came and stayed with her to be safe. Moving toward the couch laying down hissing gripping her side. Lifting her shirt, there was a huge gash that wasn't healing fast enough.
