An adaptation of Sherlock Holmes set in a world in which the fictional character/literary juggernaut Sherlock Holmes, and all the subsequent adaptations thereof, still exist.

Sherlock Holmes (pronounced Holl-mess, as he is constantly reminding people) just had the misfortune of having parents who really liked the books, and his attitude towards his fictional counterpart is pretty much the same as that of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Sherlock runs a Youtube Theory channel called Mysteries Unwrapped with Sherlock Holmes. He has received no less than seven cease and desist letters from the Conan Doyle estate, all of which he has so faded managed to rebuff by pointing out that that's literally his name.

(No he won't change his name. He's Sherlock Holmes the real live human person. Let Sherlock Holmes the non existent fictional character change his name.)

John is Sherlock's flatmate. Sherlock almost refused to live with him once he realised that it would mean staying with a medical student named John, and only gave in once John pointed out that: a) he's a biomedical student, which is completely different from an md, and b) his surname isn't Watson.

It's now been three years, which is long enough for them to have developed a genuine friendship, and for John to have a) started working towards his PhD in biotechnology, and b) for him to start dating somebody with the surname Watson.

Sherlock can feel the narrative closing in.

His Youtube channel is meant to be focused on lost media, fan theories and stuff like that, but he keeps accidentally stumbling upon and then solving genuine crimes.

His brother Mycroft may or may not have chosen that name after he transitions specifically to annoy him.

He doesn't even live in London, but somehow the only flat they could afford was on a street named fucking Baker Street.

Getting a bit emotional but man... Even with all that happening now I'm glad I loved dream smp. I'm glad I got to expirience that story and fandom. Making fanart, theorizing, listening to beautiful music. It was amazing to be part of that.

я розумію що все роблю правильно коли створюю чи вивчаю щось не просто тому що бажаю результат отримати а і тому що закохана в сам процес. часто я забуваю що в мене є якась мета мені так подобається сидіти за новими розділами іспиту з психології та соціології мені подобається потихеньку писати свою книгу мені подобається писати любовні листи своїй коханій в окремому блокнотику.

насправді підглянула останню ідею в одного хлопця-філософа за спеціальністю на ют він розповідав про notes to my wife і я одразу відчула відгук та імпульс зробити те саме.

це набагато краще ніж порожній скролінґ який тільки підвищує тривожність яку я намагалась ним же заглушити. замість стрічок твіттеру тамблеру чи навіть корисного для мене сабстаку я сідаю і пишу. під час завантаження оновлення ігор під час перерви між сесіями навчання під час нудьги.

сідаю виписувати свої думки — або в блокнотик кохання або до окремого нотатнику саморефлексій або в блокнот який я люблю називати "для споглядання". споглядання своїх думок речей з літератури аніме та відео на ют які зачепили мою увагу чимось.

я люблю проводити час з собою таким чином. друкувати все це в обсидіані чи окремому тґк для думок теж дуже корисно але оце відчуття... що пишучи від руки я роблю свої думки більш реальними? звичайно я чула про те що думки від его і нам свою голову треба перестати слухати але я не можу??? не хочу скоріше. точніше як...

я просто надто дорожу всіма своїми думками. навіть якщо вони умовно негативні та погані я люблю їх я надто довго йшла до цього стану коли здатна без перешкод і труднощів чути себе. я знаю що щоб дійсно себе заспокоїти та заглушити голос внутрішнього критика чи панікьора потрібно його спочатку почути. як на мене дуже глупо ігнорувати його і думати що це допоможе. для когось може і так але не мені точно я пробувала.

я завжди маю зіштовхнутися з усіма своїми сумнівами страхами почуттями та пристрастями прямо.

бо все для чогось мені потрібно і зайвого всередині мене немає.
