Imagine if, like how Xie Lian sucks at cooking, Hua Cheng sucks at art. They all enter the cave of ten thousand gods and Mu Qing and Feng Xin are just like: “What are these BLOBS of STONE doing here?” And Hua Cheng just has to stand there like “…”
But just like how Hua Cheng eats Xie Lian’s cooking easily, Xie Lian just as easily recognizes every single piece of artwork and adores it.

The sword is curved bc it’s in motion, not a saber, unfortunately. I’m pretty sure he didn’t use a saber in the army? At least not until the Beizi Hill incident.
