Now for a map completely new to LegoPack v2b!
Somewhere In Time
These compact halls once served lords and ladies of a blessed land, sanctioned from their world by a massive rift in the space between worlds. This castle's highest tower, along with a very confused dragon, now call the space above our skies home.
This is the first map in the pack that uses custom assets! Wow! War Man tiles assembled by Mendez from Mega Man Rock Force.
Center of the map is inspired by D2DUEL7 from the old Skulltag packs. I sorta built around the center of that map and created something I thought would be cool.
Song used in the map is the Lonely Parapet from Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment. I’m sure most of you are familiar with Virt’s awesome work, but take a look at his Bandcamp anyway: https://virt.bandcamp.com/

Next couple maps to put forward. First a map that’s virtually unchanged since the last version!
Celestial Bastion
Levitating above the clouds lay a ruin of a past people. Once a chapel of ancients seeking the power of gods, they were extinguished by unforeseen disaster. The inner sanctum lays wide open while the outer gardens are tightly packed.
This map's had some small updates since the last version-- it primarily got some fat trimmed and a hole punched in a wall. a teleporter moved and looks way cooler now too.
Song is a cover of Break the Sabbath from Touhou Gensokyo ~ Lotus Land Story by Yomogi-ya Fran. in case you're unfamiliar with their work, they made famimari: https://en.touhouwiki.net/wiki/FamiMari

Here’s a map that might seem familiar to some, but has seen some changes of large magnitude since the last time I released something of my own.
Timeless Glade
A large tree accents this edge of a miraculous forest. This adaptable wood changes color in response to the local regions fickle weather. The treetops within the lend themselves to vertical-based combat.
This map was previously named Chronoplank Woodland but the name felt... ehh... forceful. It always changed seasons, but it did so in the middle of rounds. The new version only changes season on map load and round change.
The text blurb doesn’t mention that the small pond in the middle of the map changes based off the season. It diminishes in the summer, freezes in winter, fills in spring, and is shallow in fall.
Song is the Spring time version of Click Click Wood from Banjo-Kazooie. Cover was by Mr. Bulbamike/Bulby, check out his stuff if you have the time-- he seems to be improving on his style and that’s always something to appreciate: https://www.youtube.com/user/MrBulbamike

I made a nice tweet dump with a bunch of details from maps I made a while ago. Not really anything too too impressive since I haven’t actually worked on them in literal months, but it’s still cool to put stuff out like that.
I guess with that bit out of the way, I can announce the same two maps here:
Shining Skyline
Overlooking the bustling city of New Metropolis, this colorful highrise houses aggressive close quarters confrontation.
This map hasn’t seen a whole lotta changes... might spruce it up visually at some point before releasing the new version.
Song is used is a cover of Needle Man’s stage theme from Mega Man 2 on the Gameboy. LlamaHombre made the cover and he usually makes really good stuff, so check out his channel if you have the chance: https://www.youtube.com/user/LlamaHombre

You're thinking of a concussion. Communism is something someone gives when expressing their opinion.

16 please.
When I was born, people didn’t believe in much anymore. We were deep into a consumerist hell that promised me only that I would never be happy unless I worked until I was dead, and that working people are equally unhappy. The path laid before me was plain- either go the way of the factotum and live a life perpetually criticized, ridiculed, and demeaned by others, or become “successful,” which was just a kinder way of saying forgotten.
Cold winters of Sundays and Midwestern fields and small towns and gas stations, and guns, and dogs led my shuffling feet forward, and I felt the painful endlessness of everything. Arise. Awake. Breathe. Eat. Hurt. Sleep. And if you sleep, dream. Dream of better things. Dream of worse things. Dream of anything.
I think it would’ve gone on like that forever if I hadn’t discovered the idea in my head. It occurred to me sometime around my sixteenth year. To rebel against the society we live in, one had to die. They were already prepared for anything else you could do. Act out? Done and redone. It didn’t scare them. Speaking loudly, creating violence, propping up revolutionaries? Didn’t matter. They had an answer for everything.
But they didn’t have an answer for death.
In my mind, that was the one thing they couldn’t take from me. Not yet at least. What would they do? Reanimate my corpse like some sort of Frankenstein’s monster? Even if they wanted to, and even if the technology existed, why waste it? If what the dead person seeks is an end, then let it be that way.
I planned it out. I picked the perfect age- 27, I decided, was as far down the path as I cared to walk, figuring anything to be seen past there would be more nightmarish than what awaited me on the other side of the void. I thought for a long while about how to do it. And I made my plan.
On my 27th birthday I felt an overwhelming relief, there, surrounded by the people who loved me. I would become the sea. And I would become the sky. They’d bury me in some Midwestern graveyard and finally I’d be shut of it. But the days turned to days turned to days, and I knew, silently, slowly, my resolve was weakening.
You see, when you decide young that you’ll die, you don’t know what that day will look like unless that day is the first moment you say “I’m done.” You don’t know that somewhere out there are people you are lifting up and keeping from falling. You don’t know what you until you think about the person-shaped crater you’ll leave behind.
I wanted to tell myself, selfishly, that I would not leave one. But every single person, when they disappear, leaves a hole in the world. And even here, in the sorrowful Midwest, could I be responsible for that damage?
We all want to believe we are made of fury. We are made of horror. We are made of the sort of endless cruelty that strikes out at the hearts of the simple and the evil and the mean. But we aren’t. Thank God, we aren’t. We are lovers, and in our hearts we are made to love. Time and terror has twisted strings in our hearts. But if they do not break, we do not blossom into the ugly weed that drains life whole and drinks the good until it’s nothing.
My 28th birthday is coming. I’m writing this to you from a dark apartment. A clock is chiming in the background. The air conditioner is running. And if I reach out, maybe I can touch this moment. Maybe I’ll live forever. Maybe I’ll grow old, become nothing, and have a life filled with sadness, happiness, and all the things that can’t be defined.
Maybe we both will.
TL;DR - I Wish I Could Turn Into Bowser So I Could Kill My Bus Driver

I think I took a concept and went too far with it.
Unsure if it’s a good thing I can’t do anything with lower bodies of beings or not ha ha...
I don’t tend to make art a whole lot, so I think it turned out good for the lack of practice I have.
