Another update dump!

Teague finished his Grand Champion Bronze with his handler Kat! 🥳 I have some special news about him closer to the end of the year.

Yuki took winner's b!tch, best of winners, and best of opposite sex at the revived Front Range Australian Shepherd Association USASA Specialty to finish her championship in style and with all majors no less! She was also handled by Kat and her Black Diamond Show Dogs team. 🥰

Piglet was reserve to her full younger sister at the same specialty. The judge loved them both and didn't mind Piglet was in her post whelp bikini but Yuki brought her "A" game from the get go to beat Piglet. Piglet is still in the 2pt club to finish her AKC BUT she did put in her all to finish her BCAT, DN, DJ, and DS titles in the same weekend! 🥳

And the last announcement is.. A new puppy! Reid has joined us all the way from Canada. He is a red bi with white and NO copper/tan. I am absolutely chuffed his breeder WR Aussies in Alberta and his sire owner Shalako in TX trusted me with this sweet clean. He'll be making his debut at the ASCA National preshows in TX this year in the non regular classes. 🥰

Some overdue conformation ring updates have finally arrived! Halla, Yuki, and Nelson have all joined the major pointed club in AKC with all three earning big fat 5pt majors! Teague and Nelson dominated the Terry-All KC weekend by cleaning house going Best In Show Brace all three days!

Fun fact! The Brace class is a non-regular optional competition for clubs to offer. The dogs are run in pairs and are judged on how much they look and move alike as well as how well they each fit their breed standard. So it's very similar to regular judging just x2!

Actual Breeder Search Advice (Honestly)

Every single dog breeder on God’s Green Earth will tell you that they breed for mental and physical soundness. Each and every one. All of them. That doesn’t make it true.

Don’t buy from anyone you wouldn’t return it to.

Withholding information? Dodging questions? Get iffy when you ask for documentation rather than just taking their word for it? Hmm. I wonder why.

Don’t make decisions you can’t justify to yourself.

Common sense gets you far.

If your gut says leave it, then leave it. There will be another dog.
