_VALUE_ It's why it works!! The main thing I try to tell people is that in tattooing, no matter what style, if you want to achieve contrast, you cannot ignore value. You need to understand your pigments, and how they read. @eternalink and @russabbott have a great tool called "the Russ Abbot color wheel" for utilizing your eternal tattoo pigments in such a way as to be able to diagram your pallete, making sure your darks are as dark as you need them, your mediums are on point, and your light tones are going to read the way you want! I love seeing my work in this way. It let's me fact-check my crazy color schemes to be sure the "depth" I want to achieve is there!
