I managed to rewatch the Digimon Frontier english dub this past week! I very much enjoyed it~  It gave me flashbacks to when I used to watch it in the 7th-8th grade.

I still really love Izumi’s color scheme! I used to co-own an Izumi shrine back when Geocities was alive! I believe it was called Kaze Spirit.

Here’s a snippet of my piece for the @eternalselectorszine !!!  I haven’t enjoyed a card-game based anime since Yugioh so I’m glad I got into WIXOSS when it first came out!  I had so much fun working on this! :)

I saw the trailer for this film on a Facebook post at the end of June.  I bought the books a couple days after.  The first week and a half of July, I finished them.  I am insanely hooked!  I’m a sucker for romance books and I’d say this is pretty much a shojo manga without the pictures. 

If you haven’t read it before, I definitely recommend it!  The movie comes out August 17th and I can’t wait (Though I have mixed feelings because school starts 10 days after…)

Year of the Dog Deva, Caturamon

With 2018 being the Year of the Dog, I wanted to start up my Digimon Tamers gijinka line again.  I drew the line art while I was in the Philippines for vacation and colored it when I got back to the States.  I had my watercolors but I wanted to use my iridescent inks to color the armor. I had a lot of fun with this so hopefully I can continue with the rest of the Devas!

Materials used: Westcott Stainless Steel Ruler, Koi Watercolor, Dr. Ph. Martin’s Iridescent Calligraphy Ink, Sakura Microns, Mossery Watercolor Sketchbook

Day 5: Stars

I drew a character design about two years ago and she had no name but I was really into making galaxy backgrounds. And today I brought her back! 

Meet Nova! She’s a magical girl of the Stars and her element is light. Her entire body shimmers like the galaxy.

Day 4: Moon

Luna is a magical girl of the Moon and her element is water. She conjured up her familiar, Cascada the WaterLion, in this photo. The moons on her outfit move around depending on what phase is happening that night.  This is the first time I’ve used the Mossery Watercolor sketchbook and I must say I’m super impressed. I love how thick the paper is and how it doesn’t wrinkle! Can’t wait til fill it up!

Day 3: Sun

Soleil is a magical girl of the Sun and her element is fire! She is a mix of a different character designs I created back in high school. Maybe I’ll repost those pictures sometime! I initially wanted to paint her hair gold like the sun, but I liked the idea that the sun should be white. The sun is a mix of all colors and also why I made the hair piece rainbow colored. Also, the elbow holes on her shirt remind me of a solar eclipse!

Day 2: PokéMon

UltraMoon PokéDex reading: What makes it happy is imitating the voices of weeping people and scaring everyone. It doesn't deal well with folks who aren't easily frightened.

Muma/Misdreavus was the first PokéMon that came to mind to create into a magical girl/gijinka mix. 

These two are plotting their next scheme to mess with people later tonight :)

I love the color scheme and I chose the purple outfit to represent the next evolution!

Day 1: Favorite Character

Sailor Venus, the Soldier of Love and Beauty, is such a strong leader of the Inner Senshi, knowing and willing to put her duties over everything. Though I do wish she doesn’t forever live the fate of never finding love for herself.

CCS Movie 2: The Sealed Card X MGLN Reflection

Sakura and Nanoha have made their NA theater debut this year!  It was a great pleasure to watch them on the big screen and strike me in the head/feels with the metal bad of childhood.  I’m excited to keep watching/read Clear Card arc and I can’t wait for Detonation to be released!

Materials used: Koi Watercolor, Sakura Microns, Canson XL Hardcover Watercolor Pad; I printed out Sakura’s magic circle and I cut out a memo pad with Nanoha’s magic circle on it.
