anyway. avowed is an autism allegory to me. especially about the feeling of being misunderstood and considered wrong and suffering while existing in a world that's not built for you as a result. it's all of that but if the autistic person were a god. imagine if your meltdowns caused seismic shifts and brought natural disasters and killed thousands of people. imagine feeling the crushing guilt over the power you wield and what happens when you are overwhelmed so much that you can't control it. imagine wanting to learn and understand the world and the people around you only to flounder and be considered malicious and evil. imagine what happens when you are shown kindness and understanding for the first time. even if by just one person. this one person who wants to give you a chance and who wants to help you learn and exist in a world you did not ask to come to. like. okay. I'm in tears just thinking about it. this game is so so good man.

gosh I love it so much when you play a game for the 2nd or so time and still find new things that you missed before
#ambie.txt#ambie plays avowed#I'm having a blast. my 1st run was pretty exhaustive. like it took me above 100 hrs to finish the game#got most of the achievements too. and I'm still discovering new stuff#love when games do this so much#dos2 is the best example of that I think. oh and bg3 as well ofc
