Father, I pray for my circle of family who are grieving. We are hurting for so many reasons, and I ask You to help us through this season of loss. I reach out to You, the Father of compassion and the Source of every comfort, asking You to touch us with Your unfailing love and kindness. Be our God who comforts us as we are going through our struggles, and bring us through the tough things ahead. Come alongside us in our pain, and strengthen us so we will one day be able to help others who face the same struggles. (2 Corinthians 1:3–4; Psalm 33:22; 1 Samuel 20:14a) Last June 2017 we are deeply saddened by the loss of our grandmother. Papo will be truly missed. However, today while I'm browsing my feeds in Facebook I was shocked and my heart meltdown when I heard the news that my uncle "Pete" passed away due motorcycle accident last night. Death sucks, and being far, far away from the people in mourning double sucks. Through social media I got the chance know today that my auntie "Bhud" also passed away last August 01, 2017 due illness. I know that my parents just don't want me to worry and not letting me know about the loss due to my health condition but it's painful when I am not with those who are mourning. I’m not with those who gather around food and photos and memories. I’m the hole, the absence, the space. I’m not with my family to close the door on that life and to look into the faces that have her nose and his chin and to say, I love you. I was grieving for three people, not just the recent loss. I know ghenda e ta pa me ha recuperate rin hapatay ni Papo muha ni auntie Bhud randaw nasap si uncle Pete. Let's all be strong and pray that God will protect as from any harm and sickness. Phenengin nengin ho rin Diwata na at this very moment nothing seems to be able to help the loss we feel. So Diwata e meg bigay seheg to halonen ta na begayan nen pa inta melun oras rini dhunya. Auntie Bhud and Uncle Pete you will be missed and you will never be forgotten, may your soul rest in peace. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
